Until now teachers of a foreign language have become class dictators, without taking into account the level and type of knowledge that our students possess. In this sense, it is necessary and urgent that the teachers of the foreign language assume a task that allows to recover the academic and pedagogical discourse in the classroom considering them. From this perspective we also can observe that the difficulty of developing communicative-cognitive competence in a foreign language may be due to the inability to predict the speaker`s discursive intentions in the contexts of the foreign language. This is why we conceive the learning of a foreign language as a process of incorporating a set of communicative-cognitive elements along which a student appropriates a new code using his inductive and deductive prediction. The objective of this work is to propose a new approach to a prediction model-driven Spanish learning design in a academically oriented communication. This approach will lead us to understand deeper the development of communication within a discursive context of their mother tongue. Likewise, the observation of cognitive, social and linguistic factors interrelated in the context of their mother tongue enables the students to obtain a vision of the phenomenon of the development of communicative-cognitive competence in a foreign language.

Translation of Korean literature into foreign languages involves a Korean translator working together with a native foreign translator. In many cases, the Korean translator, who is supposed to have a full knowledge of the source text language and culture, is in charge of understanding the original text, while the native foreign translator is in charge of the re-creation process. As mentioned by Albrecht Neubert, the five parameters of translational competences are (1) language competence, (2) textual competence, (3) subject competence, (4) cultural competence, and (5) transfer competence. Of the five, the most crucial part is the last parameter, as transfer skills integrate the knowledge of language, text, subject and culture with the sole aim of satisfying transfer needs. But in the actual co-translation system there is no clear mention about which one of the two co-translators will be in charge of the transfer task. Much of the criticism focused on the co-translation system is due to this point. This study tries to make clear that the transfer process must be done by both co-translators working together. Furthermore, the study discusses the competences required by the translators, the actual situation of co-translation system as regards to Korean literature and the steps that need to be taken in order for the translation to be a `real` co-translation in every sense of the word.

Translation in foreign language education has traditionally been recognized as a supplementary tool for developing language proficiency. In departments of a second foreign language such as Spanish, rarely learned in advance before higher education, translation particularly tends to be taught as an extension of reading comprehension and writing (composition) rather than for vocational purposes. However, the demand for those capable of interpreting and translation is rising with today`s expansion of global business activities and cross-border cultural exchanges, and a growing number of translation assignments are given to those without translation experience or professional translation training in a graduate school. The interpreting and translation market for Spanish is not an exception. If Spanish translation teaching in undergraduate education is to meet the changing needs of the interpreting and translation market and provide learners with opportunities to explore translation as a vocational task, it needs to move away from language-centered approaches with the primary goal of developing foreign language proficiency, and instead take into consideration the essential function of translation - communication. In this regard, this study proposes a design of translation teaching oriented to vocational purposes, based on the functionalist theory of translation and text typology.

This paper aims at exploring the problems on the ambiguous words of Spanish -homonymy and polysemy- in the `Basic Vocabulary Table` shown under the 2009 National Curriculum and proposing a new solution to them. Homonymy and polysemy can give rise to a special ambiguity for Korean students who learn Spanish because they have more possible meaning than one, and so they tend to create some confusion as to its correct use both in the elaboration of Spanish textbooks and in the evaluation of Korean college entrance examination. Only words in which form is a standard are listed in the Spanish Basic Vocabulary Table of the current National Curriculum. Therefore, students can not understand the part of speech, the meaning, and the function of the various ambiguous words. In addition, there is no level limit on the availability of the meaning and function of those words. So it is possible to use all the meaning and usage of vocabulary in the elaboration of Spanish textbooks and in the evaluation of college entrance examination. This is a serious problem. Therefore, a Basic Vocabulary Table for solving these problems is needed. Considering these, this paper reviews both the meaning and the usage of polysemys and homonyms in three Spanish textbooks of high school and in Korean college entrance examination. In conclusion, this paper proposes that it is necessary to consider all aspects such as form, meaning, and function when words are listed in the Basic Vocabulary Table.

The fashion terminology in Spanish has experienced a continuous and dynamic change under the historic cultural influence of loanwords. In this paper, it shall be assumed that fashion terminology can play a role as an `indicator vocabulary`, which permits us to observe that there are many linguistic and cultural traces throughout history. From a historic-cultural point of view, it shall be demonstrated that languages such as Latin, German, French, Italian and English have affected considerably Spanish. Likewise, concurrently, it will be exposed that the indicator vocabulary has a great advantage to explain, under a pedagogical point of view the formation of Spanish Lexicon in a simple way.

In the “Prologue” of La Galatea, Cervantes classifies the style of the work not as a plot-oriented novel but rather as an eclogue. Therefore, it is very important to analyze the characteristic of an eclogue that Cervantes identifies as his work`s genre. Cervantes esteemed writing poetry as a primary type of creative activity. Hence, he wished to write his work in the form of a poem, especially an eclogue which had a wide range of contemporaneous readership. The eclogue was a part of the typical classical genre, and it had a flexibility to incorporate other genres including prose. Many remarkable writers chose and wrote this genre as a part of their literary canon. Among these writers, Cervantes mainly modeled himself after Garcilaso de la Vega who had taken the Italian Renaissance poetry and transformed it into his own unique style. However, because of his lack of poetic talent, Cervantes could not write an authentic eclogue like the works of Garcilaso. Cervantes was a novelist, not a poet. As such, his genius as a novelist is amply displayed in his first novel. Betrayal, hatred, murder, et cetera: these negative elements that were hitherto not permitted in traditional pastoral novels add strong realism to Cervantes`s work. Hence La Galatea possesses dualism. The poetic part delivers the morals and the philosophical messages that the author wanted to impart. The prose, with its characteristic realism, brings amusement, vitality, and reality to those messages.

One of the most decisive elements that contributed to La Celestina`s great success is the world of prostitution. Since the imitators and continuator of the Rojas` work were aware of this, they adopted it, without any exception, in their works to obtain their own literary success. Thus, the theme of prostitution became an essential component of the celestinesque cycle in the first half of the sixteenth century. For the treatment of the whoredom, Feliciano de Silva, the first continuator of La Celestina, inherits the same prostitutes created by Fernando de Rojas and also puts the events occurred in the hypotext to use in his text, but, at the same time, he takes the world of prostitution presented in La Celestina to another direction describing it more colorfully and comically. While Rojas` motive for presenting the subject of prostitution consists in the attack on the nobiliary society, Silva reflects in more detail than Rojas the reality of the whoredom of his age through the presentation of a public whore and the clash between public and clandestine prostitution. In addition, the author exposes us the dark aspect of Spanish society of the moment hiding it behind the laughter and love of the world of prostitution.

"Hallyu(The Korean Wave)“ centering around popular culture won`t last for more than 10 years. For this reason, we believe that we need to find the way of the following points: 1. With regard to how to conduct cultural exchange, it is desirable that arts and popular culture smoothly exchange variously between people and the industry. 2. We need to have system in Korean culture to be settled down systematically, standing on the basis of government support. 3. To settle the systematic study on Koreanology in foreign countries, we need to establish the related departments of Korean language or Korean studies in many foreign universities. Cultural exchange should be fully reciprocal two-way relations between the two parties, involving research on cultural codes and policies of each country without claiming any competition or confrontation between the two countries and the advanced plan of exchange should be developed to come into close relation.
