국가 문화브랜드 아리랑의 글로벌 콘텐츠화 전략 연구

Arirang as one of the 100th national culture symbols is the global cultural contents item added UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage List. In this reason, there are conflicts in the area shared Arirang cultural heritage such as between Korea and China, between South and North, among national domestic areas. Lately, Munkyungsaejae Arirang supported by the academic research is included as the main Arirang lines with Three Arirangs-Jindo Arirang, Jeongseon Arirang and Miryang Arirang. It can arouse controversy and argument among Arirang regions. For Arirang globalization, it can be desirable to select the certain area as specializing Arirang strategic position. Furthermore, the independent development of regional Arirangand the collaboration and cooperation among them are significant above all. Arirang strategic position(city) can be looked for comparative advantage by considering history and tourism infrastructure. The result of analyzing with these two elements is that Munkyung has comparative advantage. Historically, Munkyung has Hulbert’s Arirang-the first modern Arirang and it is located on center nationally providing convenient transportation and various tourism infrastructure. Based on these merits, integrating regional cultural brand and creating synergy effect are positively considered. Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has designed Arirang globalization to conduct the national strategic project and held Arirang festival as national event. Arirang global contents provided another aspect Korean wave developing national cultural contents project like K-pop or K-classic music. Arirang including fun and harmony that can resolve national, ideological and ethical problems has the creative power. The future of Arirang globalization is infinitely promising. This research is the first step to forward Arirang global contents.

한불번역에서의 직유 번역에 관한 고찰

The purpose of this study is to analyze the methods that are used by the French translators to transmit the accurate meaning for overcoming the linguistic and cultural differences, when they translate simile used in Korean literatures. Considering that the specific way of translation might be preferred by translators, we included 16 literatures which were translated by different translators. In contrast to metaphor, simile in itself contains the meaning of the words and is not likely to cause serious problems in translation. Mostly, simile was literally translated and the comparison word most frequently used was comme. Various other comparison words were also used in simile and included semblable à, tel, pareil à, meme...que, avoir l’air de, prendre l’apparence de, en forme de, l’equivalent de, avoir l’aspect de, aux allures de, comparable à, à l’image de, etc. In addition to literal translation, various means were also used for translation of simile: translation by the use of explanatory words instead of the use of simile itself; translation by the omission of simile; translation by the comparison with subjects with a similar character; translation by the use of explanatory words following simile; translation by change of simile into metaphor; translation of simile with omission of the meaning of simile; and translation by the use of different simile.

This study was conceived by the idea that Yeom Sang-seop would be newly illuminated as a modern literary figure in an attempt to provide novel education and novel history education with the materials of multicultural experiences. Of multicultural experiences to be manifested in various aspects, the topic of “mixed-blood” is especially depicted in-depth in his works. His representative works include Mansejeon, Namchungseo, Love and Crime, When Peony Blossoms Bloom, and The Son of Liberation. The daily life experienced by the characters in his novels is that of the ruled in the colonized land and also that of those who are not distant from a multicultural society. In the present study, multicultural experiences refer to the process of self-discovery through heterogeneous cultural experiences via the West among the Joseon people in Far East or the frontier. While Japan is geographically situated in Far East, its modern civilization was influenced by the West, which means that it had the same images as the West to the Joseon people. The colonial fights were a pending issue when modern literature was formed in Korea. The period was scattered with heterogeneity and hybridity. His Mansejeon, Namchungseo, Love and Crime, When Peony Blossoms Bloom, and The Son of Liberation are unprecedented in literary history in that they reflect the issue of mixed-blood through those internal and external conditions. The findings about “mixed-blood” or “mixed-blood consciousness” that is the multicultural experience in those works indicate that male mixed-bloods manage to secure national identity, whereas their female counterparts show no such consciousness. Rather they are depicted in negative ways such as leaving Joseon to search for their Japanese fathers and displaying their material and sexual desire. Even though differences in mixed-blood consciousness are revealed through man and woman, Yeom is an unrivaled writer to describe the heterogeneous and hybrid cultural contexts of the colonial period in daily life. In particular, the vividness of modern literature is found in the cases that such cities as Busan and Gyeongseong were modernized according to a plan and that the features of such spaces were embodied in the life perimeter of his characters.

김종삼 시의 ‘공백/생략’에 나타난 의미적 불확실성과 도피성

Kim Jongsam’ poems have the feature of ‘blank’ and ‘omit’. The ‘blank’ and ‘omit’ in his poems choose the ‘deliberate blank and omit’ which were created by the great part of poets. They do not only imply the aesthetics of Kim Jongsam’ poems, but also imply the sight and response which is to read the era and reality and the inner consciousness. ‘Blank/omit’ have the meaning of uncertainty that dispose story which will be told as blank and omit. Kim Jongsam’s world of uncertainty expresses his attitude of withdrawing into himself and escaping from the reality. That is because his ‘blank/omit’ act by the reduction of existence, which is escaping space that can be escaped from the negative era and reality. This kind of escaping space tingles with the self-defense that is protecting oneself from the negative world. This research views ‘blank/omission’ which exposes the uncertainty in Kim Jongsam’s poems and the poetic imagnation as the reason of escape, then finds out the essence of the poems’ consciousness. ‘Blank/omission’ is just like the intentional poetic equipment, it not only contains aesthetic character, but also the inner meaning. Again, the positive understanding to the reality and the methods of escaping from the reality have been contained in it. For Kim Jongsam, this kind of escaping is the method to hide himself and self-control.

독서문법 내용 개발을 위한 기초 조사

As a basic research to establish a new domain called ‘Reading Grammar’ from a practical grammar-oriented viewpoint, this study analyzed the actual states of future social members’ reading and grammar abilities and their awareness comprehensively and empirically through a survey and a paper-and-pencil test. As a result of the survey, it was found that college students had a stronger awareness than high school students that a reading ability is important for a social life, while thinking that having grammatical knowledge is related to a reading ability. Besides, they believed that explanations in combination of grammar and reading help them read books better and showed a positive response toward the utility of reading grammar. The results of this paper-and-pencil test can be summarized as follows: Firstly, the mean score of all the subjects for this test was 10.99 (3.194 standard variation) out of possible 20 points, which could be converted into 55 out of possible 100 points. When all the scores in each evaluation domain were converted on the basis of possible 100 points, the score of their reading was 59.5 points on average, followed by their reading grammar, 57.5 points and their grammar, 42 points which was the lowest. Secondly, the correlation coefficient(r) of reading grammar and grammar was .225, which indicates a very low correlation between them, and that of reading grammar and reading was .445, which indicates a weak correlation between them. As a result, this study discovered that knowing grammar as knowledge only had a low correlation with reading, but grammar in combination of reading had a correlation with reading, although it was not strong enough. In other words, grammar is one thing, and reading is another, but since reading grammar shows a correlation with reading, the results of this study seem quite meaningful in establishing a future direction for grammar education.

This study aims to investigate the vocal factors that affect the results of audience’s evaluation in public speaking. For this purpose, 46 college students were asked to deliver a speech and their speeches were assessed by the audience of their fellow students. I examined the articulatory and prosodic characteristics in the recorded utterances spoken by 12 speakers(6 highest scorers and 6 lowest scorers in audience’s evaluation). The results show that there are significant differences in their speaking rate, mean length of utterance, silent pause ratio, IP boundary and AP tone pattern between the two groups. The results of this study provide basic data for the preferred expressions in speech, and can be utilized for developing an education program to improve speech skills.

근대 ‘국어’ 교과의 개념 형성 연구 -지식의 선정과 배치를 중심으로-

The purpose of this research is to examine progresses of formation of the concept of ‘Subject Korean’ which the nation has imagined and organized through a course of ‘Subject Korean’ that was started together upon claiming to support modern people’s nation. Just like all other modern systems, the concept of ‘Subject Korean’ as a school course was not something which was decided a priori despite it looks so clear. When ‘Subject Korean’ was created as a system school course, what was expectation of ‘Subject Korean’ as a school course? In what character has ‘Subject Korean’ built the concept of a school course? are main issues of this research. For handling this issue, in this research, selection and deployment of knowledge realized in textbooks with the object of school textbooks compiled in early period were reviewed. As everyone knows, formation and change processes of specific concept is closely related to selection of knowledge and deployment of discussion. As a result, it can be said that ‘Subject Korean’ as a modern school course has built the concept as a school course by selecting and deploying Joseon and Joseon people, in general, the nation and the people as knowledge of the course.

This study empirically analyzes the relation between multicultural families’ learning variables which represent multicultural families’ academic backgrounds and cultural backgrounds and their learning Korean language. In this study, approximately 460 multicultural families in Korea participated and answered the survey questionnaire. As the results of statistical tests such as Contingency Table Analysis and ANOVA, multicultural families in Korea have different learning objectives and motives, learning attitudes, the aim of teaching Korean, and difficulties of Korean textbooks and understanding Korean classes. The differences depend on several different learning variables such as their nationality, academic schooling, residence period in Korea, learning period, learning levels of Korean. Thus, these learning variables such as nationality, academic and cultural backgrounds can differently influence the learning objectives and motives, learning attitudes of multicultural families' learning Korean language. It is important to realize and consider multicultural families' nationality, academic schooling, residence period in Korea, learning period, learning levels of Korean to teach Korean language to them more effectively.

‘질문’류 발화동사 의미 분절 양상 연구

This report put purpose on researching meaning segmentalization. In this report, speech act of ‘speaker’ asking ‘listener’ is defined as ‘Inquiry verb’ or ‘Inquiry’ type of discourse verb. On a basis of ‘Valance theory’, inquiry verb can be fall in to three categories of single position inquiry verb, double position inquiry verb, triple position inquiry verb by their innate combinable obligatory argument. Those types of inquiry verb is analyzed based on 『Korean Standard Unabridged Dictionary』 and 『Korea Dictionary』. The concept of ‘inquirer’, ‘quizee’, and ‘content of asking’ are the basic elements in researching concept of inquiry verb. Among them, ‘inquirer’ is the essential valency in the sense of they lead the articulation. However, ‘quizee’ and ‘content of asking’ can be defined as essential valencies or not based on which articulation they focus on. Therefore, in single position inquiry verb, ‘inquirer’ turns up to be essential valency. In double position inquiry verb, ‘content of asking’ and ‘quizee’ are selected to be essential valencies or not based on inquiry verbs meaning characteristics. In three position inquiry verb, ‘inquirer’, ‘quizee’, and ‘content of asking’ all turns up to be essential valencies. Based on each inquiry verbs meaning characteristic, ‘inquirer’, ‘quizee’, and ‘content of asking’ make selective constraint relation on predicate. Between ‘inquirer’ and ‘quizee’, sometimes constraint of social status show up. Also, each inquiry verbs show ‘method of question’, ‘attitude of question’, and ‘measure of question’ turns up in inquiry verb’s form-structure combined form. ‘Asking’ which means ‘act of question’ became central feature in combination of word, is made of syntax relationship of ‘modifier-predicate’, ‘predicate-modifier’, ‘predicate-object’. In structure which ‘Asking’ be the main feature, predicate usually shows inquirer’s attitude of asking and method of asking. In ‘modifier-object’ relationship, feature which perform object shows that ‘content of asking’ will have meaning selection constraint relationship in predicate. Research about concept of inquiry verb, research about predicate’s meaning relation of ‘inquirer’, ‘quizee’, ‘content of asking’, and research about inquiry verb’s morphologic construction afford grounds on researching meaning difference of inquiry verbs and extracting distinctive feature.

Woo, Ha-yeong wrote 《Cheonilrok》 in the last Chosun dynasty. and he wrote general situation of the society those days. But, At the academic circles, This book introduced agricultural techniques. and was not introduced about the context or meaning of 《Cheonilrok》. So, I considered it’s true self of 《Cheonilrok》 that had a diagnosis and a recipe about those days, focused on book 3, 〈Guanbang〉 and book 9, 〈Jobrok〉 of 《Cheonilrok》. Although, I roughly approached that I wanted to considered about 《Cheonilrok》. 〈Guanbang, The militant Defense System〉was written to a strong defense of a nation. Woo, ha-young recognized most important to defense that advantages of a locality. And he positively emphasized application of an old castle in which a rugged land. So, he minutely explained about castle construction. And I emphasized that put a thing in good order a mountain path through an embargo of cutting and farming. Besides, There was 〈Sansuchongron〉, in 〈Guanbang〉. This was minutely explained about a mountain path and a water course of the whole country. At 〈Sansuchongron〉, he explained about a mountain path and a water course of the whole country that a mandatory matter to Guanbang. So, He made an additional remark. 〈Jobrok〉, miscellaneous notes, was introduced a series of biographies who don`t know people. And He written a foreword compiled intention that corrected the ethics of the nation and added instruction of the world. This was introduced an episode that filial piety, loyalty, chastity, stiffness, great ability. and then, This was append his opinion at the back. He introduced not only an able man of Silla, Koryo and Chosun Dynasty, but also actively introduced an able man of Song and Ming Dynasty. Specially, at 〈Jobrok〉, We was worthy of notice that related facts a relief party of Ming Dynasty at Imjinwaeran(壬辰倭亂).
