This study discusses the field of argument evaluation and criterion in debate discourse. This evaluation is the result of theoretical investigation of the contents of education in debate discourse. In order to take account of debate discourse, the realm of the subject of appraisal has to be classified. The criterion in debate discourse should not be in the form, but in the act. Acts are classified either as an argument or persuasion by the purpose and objective. The target area of argument evaluation lies in the argument in illocutionary acts which are separate from the persuasion in perlocutionary acts. This was how the standard for assessment of illocutionary acts was set-up. The criterion is related to the composition of the argument and is divided and discussed through questions such as ``Was the argumentation established?``, ``Was the claim justified?`` and ``Was the ground appropriate?``

The study investigated introduction background of material for festival and identified 14 regional festivals with material that is not originated from a region. And the author analyzed introduction backgrounds of material for festival such as ① use of Korean unique material, ② regional festival connected to a certain material like natural thing etc. to strengthen local image, ③ expansion of cultural and artistic event which was led by private at first, ④ use of sensitivity of era as material, ⑤ strengthening of enjoyment factor etc. Based on this, the study suggested 5 styles. And it was identified that ‘traditional material’, ‘natural thing’, ‘culture and the arts’ were used as non-connected material by exploring characteristics of the regional festivals. And it was identified that non-connected material was divided according to style such as urban style, mountain village style, rural community style, and sea village. And it was emphasized that in the case cultural and artistic event was led by private at first expanded to regional festival, it took some time until it was established as a festival; festival based on non-connected material is being actively introduced recently. On the other hand, it was explored that regional festival is a ground to reorganize regional order and the festival has a structure where a new regional identity can be introduced, formed, and established through festival. And it was also found through examples of established regional festival of non-connected material that non-connected material of festival can create regional identity. It is expected that the study can contribute to broadening academic horizon and suggesting new model for development of festival through study on festival of non-connected material that has not received interest as an object of study.

The subject recognizes objects by sensing opaque being before integrating stimuli received through sensory organs. Before recognizing what the objects is, we can sense the feeling of it. It implies that sense is fundamental and pre-conscious. Also, sense is complex from the beginning. Biologically speaking, different stimuli are received by corresponding organs, but they are sensed simultaneously rather thanintegrated from the different feelings. These complexity is expressed in Kim, Chun-su’s poetry. He often used multiple senses in his poetry, and it is different from synesthesia image in that senses are revealed simultaneously. Synesthesia image is characterized by temporality in the process of transition and change of the original sense to another sense. On the other hand, sensitive expressions in Kim, Chun-su’s poetry embodies complexity of senses, not replacing the original sense to another one. Sight, the most significant sense in his poetry, perceives the texture of the object. Merleau-Ponty’s thought of understanding ‘seeing’ as sense of both reversibility and complexity, like ‘touching’, can be applied. Sight perceives the shape and the texture of the object at one time, which makes it to be understood as interactive, complex sense. Kim, Chun-su’s poetry are good example of these awareness. Two strategies can be used to express the complexity, showing that the complexity is embodied in the object itself or showing that the predicate have multiple senses to explain the object. For example, objects such as wind, glass, rock, fire can be seen as multiple senses. Also, verbs like ‘cry’ or ‘flow’, can be expressed into visual or auditory senses, and ‘calm’ can also expresses visual state of objects while expressing the auditory sense. These words widens the meaning of the objects and composes the entire poem. Ultimately, these strategies shows that senses are important things that guarantees co-existence of subject and objects. Therefore, senses are important keyword which is connected to phenomenological corps and well explains poetic thought of Kim, Chun-su.

This study was conceived from the observation of some serious problems in a localized Korean TV animation series into Spanish. While translation errors have been typically dealt with from the perspective of translation studies, this paper applies the concept of localization to analyze those problems. During localization process, in order to make the product appropriate to the target language and culture, the focus has been on acceptability at the expense of accuracy, even though a localized product has considerable parts that are obviously inaccurately translated or omitted. When approached from the perspective of localization, translation errors can be analyzed not just linguistically but on multi-levels, which include a) localization strategies such as domestication for receiver’s reception, b) localization tool, e.g. machine translation and c) localization language mediation, e.g. double translation. More specifically, the present paper analyzes a number of issues occurring in the localization process, looks for the causes and suggests some solutions. This study is expected to help enhance the quality of Korean into Spanish animation localization, and contribute to globalization of Korean cultural contents if more studies are conducted to look into similar cases of different contents and different languages.

Both Kang Kyung Ae (Korean, 1906-1944) and Xiao Hong (Chinese, 1911-1942) are brilliant female writers emerging in the literature area in the 1930s. Kang Kyung Ae, born in a poor farmer Hwanghae-do (Province), Korea, wrote novels like The family in Human Predicament and Mothers and Daughters and story stories such as < Salt > and < the Underground Village >. Xiao Hong was born to a feudal landowning family in Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province, China. Xiao Hong’s representative works novels like < the Tales of the Hulan River > and < the Field of Life and Death > and she also authored short stories like < the Death of Wang A Sao >, < March in the Town >. Kang Kyung Ae enjoyed a high reputation in Korean literary circles; Xiao Hong played an importantly active role in Chinese literary field and her life was legendary. In spite of the difference in nationalities, their life stories share great similarities, which lay foundation for the comparability between their literary creations. This thesis employs such literary theories as comparative study, feminism and narratology, emphatically explores the similarities and differences between the life stories, class consciousness and female consciousness of Kang Kyung Ae and Xiao Hong, and make parallel comparisons between them from the perspectives of narrative structure, point of view and linguistic art. This thesis centers on the narratological analyses of Kang Kyung Ae’s and Xiao Hong’s narrative styles. Their personalities in composition result in their distinct styles of their works. The writing styles of these two writers can be studied from such perspectives as narrative structure, writing point of view and language art, etc. Kang Kyung Ae’s writings basically follow traditional writing mode. However, Xiao Hong’s writings differ from these of her contemporaries since she stuck to ‘unorthodox writing’, As Lu Xun put it: she wrote freely without too much hesitation and cared little about the arrangement of her language. The meticulous comparison of Kang Kyung Ae and Xiao Hong, two celebrated female writers in 1930’s in this thesis will further our understanding of the social background, views and values and economic structure in Korea and China and facilitate the development and perfection of the history of Korean and Chinese female literatures.

《Your Heaven》 is a novel containing abundant materials that induce multilayered interpretation. In the meantime, a number of studies on this novel has been conducted. According to the research results, there is a dominant tendency of understanding this novel as a product of reconciling confrontational composition of a leper and healthy person through conversations based on mutual subjectivity. However, this applies to the reading of not admitting the critical mind in 《Your Heaven》. It is because characters were the subjects without completion enough to approve each other as intersubjective others. Meaning, the beginning of this novel is a critical situation of intersubjective communication. However, this critical situation that appears like a dead-end street urges characters, paradoxically, to build a relationship, confront each other desperately, and to keep each other in check. A character who shows this most effectively is ‘Lee, Sang Wook.’ Lee, Sang Wook, a child not infected with tuberculosis, spends his childhood in an antagonistic order of leper and healthy person. This provided a basis to observe the paradise construction business that Jo, Baek Heon started from critical point of view continuously. However, Lee, Sang Wook is also appearing as a character who internalized dichotomous confrontation of leper and healthy person. When he makes a relationship with Yoon, Hae Won and Suh, Mi Yeon, he describes Yoon, Hae Won contemptuously and showsrepugnance towards Suh, Mi Yeon who makes a confession that she was born as a child not infected with tuberculosis. It is because their existence is foretelling a failure of ethical proposition that Lee, Sang Wook set up himself. He is making a proposition of‘to love a leper as a healthy person’ as his own fateful task, but Suh, Mi Yeon and Yoon, Hae Won are implying a fact that such proposition is bound to fail. This implies a fact that Lee, Sang Woo is denying the conflicting composition of leper and healthy person ostensibly but accepting the conflicting composition inside and is believing the effect. This circumstance can be known through an anecdote of his father, Lee, Soon Gu. After all Lee, Sang Wook was able to unravel his ethical challenges when he crossed over the symbolic order internally that he refused but believed in implicitly. Lee, Sang Wook tries to resolve through an extreme choice of called ‘escape.’ This escape was a great incident that shook the symbolic order of Sorokdo Island, and even caused drastic changes in main characters who established their identity by referring to the conflicting composition of a leper and healthy person. They were placed in a situation of having to search for ethical foundation that can replace such fantastic structure from ground zero. How Jo, Baek Heon returned to the island as a civilian and how Hwang, Hee Baek defined director Jo, Baek Heon as a practitioner of love derived from here. This becomes a chance to evaluate 《Your Heaven》as fictionalizing the process of ‘ethics’ getting formed in critical situation of intersubjective dialogical relationship.
