Listening and speaking occurs. Relationships are formed by communication. Listening and speaking also reflect people`s characters. The complex concepts that go along with the study of these transactions are constantly studied. Character education was emphasized in the area of listening and speaking that occurred in the 2015 reform of the Korean Curriculum. The characters of people are particularly expressed in situations of conflict. My research in listening and speaking education focuses on the teacher. In a lesson about a child who conflicts with an adult driver, the teacher instructed the child in matters of etiquette, to express his thoughts and feelings but also to apologize to the adult. Character education does not fall under the purview of language etiquette. Teachers focus on the relations between communicators for character education. They teach the students to think for themselves when communicating. Character emerges in their relations. Therefore, we focus on the relations between communicators when teaching character.

The aim of this study is to analyze the aspects of a presentation as demonstrated by foreign undergraduate students. The focus of the analysis is to find out if there are weaknesses in the manner the students give a presentation and to provide suggestions on which aspects of the presentation require reinforcement. From the results of the analysis, the author is able to provide several educational implications. First, instructors need to teach the importance of clarifying the genres of an official oral presentation and the ways of signaling them. Second, instructors need to emphasize the teaching of both linguistic and non-linguistic aspects of an oral presentation. In addition, sufficient practice should be seriously undertaken in order to achieve fluency in giving a presentation. Third, instructors should teach the students how to use complementary visual materials in organizing the presentation contents. Lastly, they need to teach crucial concepts and how to select contents to include in a presentation based on their areas of specialization. In so doing, the students will learn the important aspects of a good presentation; identify appropriate contents to include; and demonstrate the official way of presenting orally.

Analysis of evaluated scores shows something as follow. (1) In the intra-person level, only 1 criterion(Analysis and Meaning making)`s mean score was over than Reflection level(3 points) and 1 criterion(Attending to Emotion)`s was less than Thoughtful Action level(2 points). (2) In the inter-person level, It was possible to classify most of pre-service teachers into 7 level groups(from ``pre-reflection`` to ``totally balanced reflection``). The result of this study will be helpful to university educators who are interested in reflective professional education.

The goal of this research was to examine the similarities and differences in the kinship address terms of South and North Korea. As kinship address terms differ greatly across regions and generations, only the normative terms were examined. A comparison was made based on books about the standard speech of each Korea: ``Pyojun-eoneo-yejeol``(the book about standard South Korean speech) and three books of North Korea. The findings were verified and supplemented by examining how the terms were used in novels, movies, and dramas. The analysis showed that there were not many significant differences in kinship address terms of the two Koreas. The results of analysis described only the major differences. It is essential to know the speech manners of one`s speech community(including standard address terms) for effective communication. Differences in the speech manners of the two Koreas can lead to communication problems. More research is needed to resolve such problems.

This research studies aspects of oral communication instruction of Korean Chines by analyzing "Joseon-eomun". Unlike other texts used in Korean language instruction, "Joseon-eomun" puts each type communication section into one unit. In each unit, the textbook offers a ``comprehensive section,`` including a number of project activities. "Joseon-eomun" focuses on mass communication including presentation, rhetoric and discussion. Using onomatopoeia, mimetic expressions, proverbs, idioms, and four-syllable Sino-Korean idioms is important, because these are frequently employed in conversation. Moreover, the textbook emphasizes courtesy, politeness, and good posture - highlighting the importance of listening to others. "Joseon-eomun" encourages students to become effective and confident public speakers. It stresses on team activities to allow students to learn by communicating with their peers. Standardization is a distinctive characteristic of its presentation.
