This paper tries to analyze communication problems identified in workplace meetings and suggest principles to improve meeting speech and communication culture in the workplace. In many Korean workplaces, it was found that meeting dialogue is mostly one-sided, hierarchical/vertical and aggressive communication. Improved workplace meeting dialogue should tend towards rationality based on mutual understanding. Considering the theory of communication action by Habermas and the theory of critical intercultural dialogue by James, the author has tried to give shape to dialogue principles that seek rationality based on mutual understanding. The three major principles were as follows : first, a dialogue should demonstrate validity of opinions as a two-way communication. Secondly, speakers need to understand and accept the other person`s perspectives on various opinions. Thirdly, there should be no coerced suppression or dominating control over discussion, and fair conditions need to be provided.

This study aimed to determine the feasibility of including "caring education" in Korean Communication Education. The purpose of a caring education is to rear children who not only develop their abilities and individuality for a happy life but practice caring. ``Caring`` must be connected with the education curriculum of Korean language department`s, particularly with the module that promotes communal living through proper Korean language usage. 2015 Korean language curriculum indicates, as an aim of education in Korean language departments, "key competence," which, learners to establish their self-identity through self-care and be aware of its changes. Continuous communication in a cultural environment, along with human relations, helps establish awareness of a changing self-identity. Meanwhile, a learner`s Korean language usage(comprehension and expression) must be designed to include the responses of. Learning partners, with whom the learner shares a meaningful relationship and who can implement ``care`` through continuous communication in Korean. To enhance this feasibility, this study suggests the following: firstly, the promotion of a school-wide speaking culture classroom on personal narratives; secondly, the development and practice of a Korean language education program that accepts continuous and face-to-face interaction; and thirdly, the formation of Korean language Learning communities through the solidarity of the school, family, and society.

In oral communication, affective and figurative aspects are as important as intellectual and logical aspects. Indeed, in everyday oral activities, the figurative aspect takes on greater significance. Oral literature may be regarded as the purification of oral language. For example, folktales have unique characteristics in terms of form and meaning. They unfold fictional imagination, free from the need to conform to reality. The language is dynamic, conveying aesthetic and psychological satisfaction and a sense of freedom. Such tales effectively reflect the truth of human life, becoming stamped on one`s memory with a strong impression. In folktales, the unique motifs form systematic and coherent narrative structures, comprising both syntagmatic and paradigmatic aspects, which is optimized for effective communication. Such oral literature plays an important role in the development of oracy, expanding the scope of imagination and requiring cognitive processing. The production and reception of such tales reflects the process of ``cognition - expression - communication``, allowing one to develop intellectually and emotionally, and expanding human relations. To encourage the development of oral communicative ability, oral literature ought to be utilized.

This paper aims to analyze the phenomenon of the code-switching and code-mixing reflected in the dialogue of group chats between Korean-Chinese people on mobile messenger. In recent years, Korean-Chinese have been living in a language environment of ``two written languages and three spoken languages``. Korean-Chinese communicate in Chinese and Korean as written languages, but in Chinese, Joseoneo and Korean as spoken languages. The group chatting of Korean-Chinese reflects the characteristic(s) of code-switching and code-mixing occurring in the language environment. This paper attempts to analyze the communication strategy through three elements - economic feasibility, relationship and normativity - from the point of view of pragmatics. This paper attempts to forecast the future of Joseoneo through analysis of the phenomenon of code-switching and code-mixing, and provide the most appropriate solutions.

This study investigated perceptions of disability discriminatory expressions, and provided suggestions for representation methods in Korean textbooks. To do so, we selected 60 survey items through a review of Korean language textbooks and previous studies, and examined how adolescents and adults would perceive them in terms of discrimination. The results showed variation in the mean values of perceived discrimination across the items, although the standard deviations were not largely different. Further, a significant age effect was found on the level of perceived discrimination in a number of the expressions for disability. In addition, the level of perceived discrimination varied to an extent depending on linguistic realization patterns. Based on the findings, the study proposes educational directions on the representation of disability discriminatory expressions in Korean textbooks from two perspectives, namely, systematization of examples to raise multi-level awareness of disability discriminatory expressions and development of educational materials to teach linguistic cues intrinsic to disability discriminatory expressions.
