방송 토론 인신공격 발언의 역기능과 개선 방안

The aim of this study is to analyze the adverse effects of statements making personal attacks in broadcasting debates, to understand the problems involved, and to propose measures to redress the same. For this purpose, based on the preceding studies on the personal attack phenomenon in broadcasting debates, the study reviewed the target and contents of personal attack in order to prepare an analysis frame. For the analysis of personal attack statements in broadcasting debates, the study analyzed debate programs of three main broadcasting companies for 20 times. As a result of the study, it was found that the attacks mainly focused on the expertise and bias of debaters. Reliability, validity, and suitability on the evidence of speaking to the other parts formed the majority of cases. There were also instances of such attacks involving affiliated groups of debaters. Based on the results, the study proposed improvement guidelines for language expression in broadcasting debates for the purpose of improvement of personal attack phenomenon in broadcasting debates.

This study classifies themes in speech communication and speech communication education research. Its findings, in the area of speech communication, include general topics, subject of communication, mediums of communication, communication types, the purpose of communication, the communication process, communicative expression, and the culture of communication. The second part of this paper links the two research areas of speech communication and speech communication education. The third section focuses on the area of speech communication education, which includes early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, college education, linked and integrated education, vocational education, and general education. The fourth section covers extended research, including adjoining disciplines and Korean language education.

희망표현의 사용 교육 연구 -문화 간 언어능력 연구의 조건을 구성하기 위하여-

Past, researchers have worked on the use of hope expressions in the Korean language. The study of expressive action is more effective when researchers directly observe people using their native language rather than through linguistics theory. Embodied Construction Grammar(ECG) is provides the theoretical basis for this research, cognitive character into account. The lingual focus of this research is on the use “-go sip-” in the self-introduction discourse between native speakers. The results of this research show it is found that hope expressions are the basic unit in the opening or creating of self-introduction discourse. This research reveals that some examinees construct discourse by inserting a hope expression as the starting point, while others do not. Self-introduction discourse is constructed by the relation of the predicate to agent-actor-action(3A). I argue that the necessity of this methodology1) is proved by the results of this study and this methodology will help research the cultural adaptation of the immigrants in Korea.

The revised Korean Language Arts Curriculum of 2015 has been published and new textbooks are being distributed in every school. This study reviews critical issues of content organization and achievement standards in Korean speaking and listening education. This article suggests ways to develop a practical and effective Korean speaking and listening education for the next curriculum. The elements of content organization and the achievement standards should be designed using authentic data about students' communication practices. Mother tongue speaking and listening education should be given priority above other education areas because good oral work enhances students' understanding of both spoken and written forms of language and communication. The elements of content organization and achievement standards need to be integrated by connecting structural elements to the five areas of Korean language education. Finally, the national curriculum needs to allow textbook writers and teachers more flexibility to produce better and more creative results. Social network services should be included as important sources of speaking and listening education.

니클라스 루만의 체계/환경-차이 이론에서 본 화법, 화법교육 및 화법교육 성찰이론

This article defines speech communication, education of speech communication, and the reflection theory of speech communication education in terms of system/environment-difference theory. Furthermore, it seeks a desirable development direction for speech communication education positioned in the context of society. The system/environment-difference theory offers a new perspective, which is impossible for the parallel ontology between subject and object. Systems are not self-sufficient because of their dependence on the energy source in the environment, and autonomous because of their own chains of operations. Systems are generated through their interaction with the environment, but exclude the environment by virtue of self-identification operations. Empirical examples of so-called “autopoietic systems” are biological systems such as chains of life operations, psychic systems such as chains of thought operations, and social systems such as chains of communication operations. Seen from this frame of autopoietic systems, all objects of human and social sciences are chains of communications. “Speech communication” is a specific kind of oral communication intending to enhance the effect of communication. “Education of speech communication” is communication from good intention, which aims to mediate effective techniques and abilities of communication. “The reflection theory of speech communication education” is “communication which reflects the rationality of speech communication”. Contrasting lonely existing subjects, which only depend on reason, systems, able to operate only on the context of relation to their environment, keep an eye on three kinds of reason: social, temporal, and factual. This article discusses several concrete tasks through which the reflection theory can encourage speech communication education to improve via the terms of these three kinds of reason.

Aristotle’s concept of “ethos” is commonly known as “credibility” in the modern persuasion theory. In Speech and Composition, one of the general elective subjects in the modern contemporary Korean Language Education Curriculum, deals with achievement standard related to “credibility”. The purpose of this study is to investigate how Korean language teachers evaluate on the ‘Peer assessment cases of high school students considering credibility’ and how they do achievement standard in the Korean Language Education Curriculum relating to credibility. This paper also proposes several solutions to issues of credibility in Korean Language Education. The main sources of data for this study include the results of oral speech evaluations and surveys by Korean language teachers. In order for the teachers to understand the context of this study sufficiently, a copy of the corresponding talk and the peer assessment result sheet were provided by e-mail or in hard copy; teachers were then asked to complete the evaluation and participate in the survey “Peer assessment cases considering credibility”. By analyzing the responses of 23 Korean language teachers, this study explores issues relating to credibility in education.
