This study aims to introduce and examine the process of development and results of a program that can improve a person’s communication abilities to better resolve inter-peer conflict. Specifically, this program is based on the understanding that it can exist as long as it seeks for the possibility of combined Korean Language and social studies education. For this, we looked at the elements of language and communication in education for resolving conflicts at the social studies, and the elements of conflict in Korean language education. The two were found to have an important relationship. Such programs can begin the discussion on the actual aspects of Korean language-social studies convergence education, but further research on the effects of these programs or convergence education is necessary.

대학생의 긍정적 평가에 대한 두려움과 발표 불안감의 관계에서 긍정심리자본의 매개효과

This study aims to examine the mediating effects of positive psychological capital on the fear of positive evaluation and speech anxiety in college students. My major findings are as follows: When college students have higher fears regarding positive evaluation, they typically have lower levels of positive psychological capital and higher speech anxiety. who have higher levels of positive psychological capital also tend to have lower levels of speech anxiety Second, positive psychological capital partly mediates the relationship between the fear of positive evaluation and speech anxiety. Evidence has shown that sub variables of positive psychological capital (such as self-efficiency, optimism, hope, and resilience) partly mediates the relationship between the fear of positive evaluation and speech anxiety. In summary, although the fear of positive evaluation as an independent variable can affect levels of speech anxiety, the amount of this impact tends to be reduced when self-efficiency, optimism, hope, and resilience variables are mediated. Therefore, the partial mediation has the effect of building positive psychological capital.

수사구조이론(RST)을 활용한 학습자 텍스트 분석의 문제점과 해결 방안

The purpose of this study is to identify the practical problems of analyzing learner’s texts using Rhetorical Structure Theory(RST), and to discuss solutions to the problems through a case study. Eight annotator’s conducted RST analysis seminars and exercises for four weeks, after which their respective processes and results were described and summarized. One problem raised in the analysis of RST was that the recognition of nuclearity, spans, and relations varied according to the annotator's ability and subjectivity, Another problem is that relations tend to be determined by text hierarchy, and the distributions of relations (relations that primarily appeared, rarely appeared or did not appeared) are very different. As a solution to this problem, the annotator’s agreement of RST analysis could be improved through mutual consultation and training, and Theoretically, some disagreement regarding analysis results is allowed in the text analysis. and rhetorical levels are taken into consideration. Furthermore it is possible to adjust the RST categories for relations, and clarify them upon reflecting on the features of learner’s text.

외국인 유학생의 토론 담화에 나타난 화용언어적 문제 연구

This study analyzes the pragmalinguistic problems in discussion discourses of international students. The study gathered and analyzed discussion discourses of 27 foreign students and compared those with the discussion discourses of Koreans . The analysis indicates problems o ffinal ending , discussion expressions, person expressions, and politeness expressions in the discussion discourses . Finally, the results of this study will aid in the development of discussion content for international students.
