This thesis is focused to examine the way how Yeom Sang Seop`s narrative desire to revive national identity in Double Mindness is revealed in the dialectic relation between a cognitive structure and a emotive structure of text. Issues discussed in this thesis can be summarized as follows. First, Double Mindness has meaning as the work which Yeom Sang Seop designed at the level of narrative response about discourse on an immoral love or a sexual depravity and a ``modern-girl`` as it`s representation which is emerged as key issues for discussion in a field of social and cultural discourses of mid-to late 1920s. Second, Yeom Sang Seop criticize sexual depravity of Park Chun-kyrong which represent of the negative of modern capitalism` life from an ethical perspective and try to find an alternative at the level of the cognitive structure in Double Mindness`s narrative. Finally, Double Mindness has a built-in the narrative desire of national identity through the criticism of socialist ideology at the level of the emotional structure. Such narrative desire indirectly is implied by narrative` vulgar ending which is based on ethical thinking.

Kim Chunsu left the stamp of his own individuality on a world of poetry, nonsense poetry, through deconstructive imaginations and unique experiments. 「Cheoyongdanjang」,regarded as his masterpiece in the nonsense poetry, resists and reacts universal awareness that represents realities and worlds such as history, ideology, and violence.「Cheoyongdanjang」is still regarded as the nonsense poetry―even though Kim Chunsu wrote psychological trauma like distress and anxious that human being feels. He is, in my opinion, apoet who poetizes it through unusual experiments and symbolic representations. 「Cheoyongdanjang」`s part 1 shows reveries of the boy, Cheoyong, dreaming beautiful world and methods of romantic irony. Part 2 indicates amusing experience of self-reflexive trauma, which comes out of an unconscious desert in extreme reveries. In part 3, Kim Chunsu heals his trauma by writing poems, and which represent, expose, and dismantle the violence of history. Part 4 appears his poetry spirit; he pursues nihilistic world recognizing difference or``everything is infinite`` as paradox. 「Cheoyongdanjang」depicts Kim Chunsu as a human being and recreate dramatically lonely childhood, adolescence, and senescence. This essay considers ``nonsense`` as inexplicable, not meaningless; he embodies the constant repetition of ontological pain. Life is not dialectical, metaphysical. We live in a dream world; we do not know. That is to say, life is meaningless. The works examined in this paper demonstrate the healing process of Kim Chunsu who turns his trauma into universal experience by writing poems. A more new approach to Kim Chunsu`s poetry is needed in order to develop programs and methods that make people experience the process of healing by reading poems; although they are not literature major.

희학적 대화의 담화 공간의 성격과 함의

The dialogic joke of Korean family novelwhich are performed in daily dialogue of stepmother, aunt, brotherhood and sisterhood, intimate friend etc., are deviated from the linear track of novel`s event and situation. It is lacked of temporal tension, and is formed of a sort of spatiality ironically. This discourse space has an important meaning in the discourse situation of vertical analogy by temporality that contribute to the plot of family novel for the most part. The discourse of vertical analogy by temporality tends to produce confucian ideology, ideal solemnity, historical determinism, confucian dogmatism, and espicially the protection and enhancement of patriarchal system. But the spatiality formed of the dialogic joke of family novel is a deviation from such temporality. It is a question and doubt about the confucian ideology and patriarchal system. That spatiality breaks with historical determinism and fatalism attached to temporality. It raises a question contingency against inevitability, uncertainty against certainty, circumference against centricity, flexibility against rigidity etc. These are fictional virtues of the spatiality of dialogic joke of Korean family novel.

The purpose of this study is to explore plans for education of Korean Culture for advanced Korean courses. The aim for foreign language education goes beyond communication skills and to change the awareness of the individuals through understanding of the culture of a society, and to expand the point of view that an individual has of the world. Korean language education also pursues to allow its students to learn new meanings in the course of understanding the Korean culture, to look back to their own culture and cultural identity, and to bring changes in the perceptions and attitudes to wards culture. The most important factor of Korean cultural education is to know the qualities of Korean culture and to apply them into education plans. To achieve this, holistic and key characteristics were studied, and a cultural education plan that aims for the holistic understanding of the Korean culture and the intercultural understanding with their own culture with the Korean culture was created. The significance of this study is in expanding the preexisting studies done on Korean language education by adding the aspects of Korean cultural education and the ability to understand Korean culture.

두보 "기주(夔州)이후"시의 조선적 수용

Joseon intellectuals recognized Dufu`s peoms of the post Kuizhou era separately among his peoms and metioned them in various method. The discourses on Dufu`s poems of the post Kuizhou era had started to show up in earnest since the mid-Joseon period. It can be roughly divided into two aspects. First, there had been skeptical discourses in the16th and 17th centuries. In these discourses, Dufu`s poems of the post Kuizhou era were recognized as works that were unworthy of learning or achieved lower level than his poems of previous Kuizhou. This recognition was related to Zhuzixue(朱子學) that influenced Joseon intellectuals and revivalism in literature that had been thriving in the mid-Joseon period. Second, some scholars regarded Dufu`s poems of the post Kuizhou era as the highest level works. However, they didn`t mention why these works are excellent. In these disourses, it was a self evident fact. And then Dufu`s poems of the post Kuizhou era served an function of basis in poetic discourses that pursue characteristics of relations among nature, poems and poets. These discourses had been repeated until the late Joseon period with citing Dufu`s poems of the post Kuizhou era. It was beacuse the case of Dufu`s poems of the post Kuizhou era brought cheer to unlucky poets who have talent.

Human love animals. On the other hand, humans are afraid of the animals. Humans and animals must struggle with each other. Old people regret that humans are killing animals. This study is reviewing these points. I will summarize the contents discussed in this study. First, the use of animal based on Confucian ideas that I take it for granted. Regret that killing animals based on the ideas of Buddhism, on the other hand. Humans hate a louse. But Lee GjuBo(李奎報) feels compassion for a louse. Insights about the fate of the human sorrows is locked at the same time. As a result of sketching out the general features of the symbols, animals symbolizes ambivalence. Literatures with subject matters of animals express variety of moods, such as sadness of the abominable cruelty of human life. So to say, animals takes a significant part in Korean classic literature.

권력의 원시적 지향과 모성적 사랑 -윤흥길의 『완장』

Power is the strength or position with which one as a social being can accomplish what he purposes in a social relation in spite of other`s resistance. This inevitably causes social inequity and conflict in a society. And so it has a destiny of reproducing the desires of all the human beings. And it would take one of the top posts among other infinite desires of human beings, and would be realized sometimes in a primitive way in a naive dimension. The work of Wanjang (Armband)taking an armband for a symbol of power deals with the matters of human desires for such power. This work shows how naive those desires are and accordingly how primitive they are through Lim Jongsul who is a depraved but crude person. The primitive desire for power and even violent one to a degree that Lim Jongsul shows reminds us that the dignities of reason and rationality, morality and ethics, etc. that we have could be a mere packing and further to say a falsity. Watching his extreme figure through Jongsul`s struggling to keep it with which finally he is thrown to his ruin even though it is inferior power, this work strongly suggests problems of desires for power that human beings have. In this background, a salvation message as a maternal love that the author presents is a hope and a consolation but it is a half hope and a half consolation. The desire of human being toward power is as stubborn as such.

Interview is a process of verbal communication made up of speaking and listening between interviewer and interviewee. The purpose of interview-writing links between interview and education of composition. The process of interview-writing education consists as follows: 1.lecture on the enforcement methods, process and purpose of interview, 2. interview, 3. hand in a paper the results of interview, 4. correct a composition& evaluations. Interview-writing is process-oriented education of composition. In the process, learners make a comparison between themselves and the other. This is process of self-regulation, reconstitution of knowledge and production of new meanings. Humanistic Education of composition in universities catch up on their cultural knowledge of undergraduate students and develop communication competence and problem-solving competence. Today it becomes more important for leaner-oriented education and process-oriented education, Interview-writing corresponds with these streams.

In this study, I have analyzed the relationship between the problem of the evil and the Korean classical novels, especially focussing on the theodicy and the Confucianism. The purpose of this study is toconfirm the problem of evil should be an important subject in the Korean classical novels and to make a general survey it. Over the long term, the existence and origin of evil have challenged the Christian faith to God regarded as the being of the omniscient, omnipotent and infinitely good. Because the confucianists including Mencius(孟子) and Zhuxi (朱熹) have considered the human nature was fundamentally good, the origin of evil has not been seriously inquired in the Confucianism. The confucianists have regarded novel as a tool for the edification which could make human nature good like taken off blind from eyes. In thisstudy, I supposed that these differences between the theodicy of Christianism and theory of natural goodness(性善說) in the Confucianism have to been seriously considered in the study of Korean classical novels. In chapter4, I have outlined the problem of evil in Korean classical novels as four dimension, the narrative inquiry on the origin of evil, the narrative edification of human nature, the overall research of the evil characters and narrative plot, and the cross-cultural understanding to the property of Korean evil.

This study aims to investigate the uses of Korean conjunctive endings of spoken language of Philippine female marriage-based immigrants. The conjunctive endings used in sentence and conjunctive endings used in final endings were investigated through as TV program. As a result of the analysis, a replacement error occurred frequently among the errors of conjunctive endings used in sentence. It is shown that married immigrant women don`t use the conjunctive endings correctly. The conjunctive endings as grammatical element in Korean can be acquired through only learning, not be naturally acquired through simply spoken language in daily life. Also, to married immigrant women, there is a need of teach that final endings`-yo` can be used together as conjunctive endings are used in final endings. In conclusion, the comparative analysis on conjunctive endings used by married immigrant women from various countries will be done in future.
