한국어의 통사적 특징와 교포학습자의 언어 프로파일

본고는 영어와 대비되는 한국어의 통사적 특징에 대해 설명하고 영어권교포 학습자들의 문법적 특징에 대해 알아본다. 영어와 대비되는 한국어의 특질들 중교착어로서의 특징들, 서로 상반되는 어순, 조사와 어미들의 후치성, 수식어의 전치성 등을 영어의 통사적 특징들과 비교하여 논한다. 이어서 미주지역 한국어 학습자의 대부분을 차지하는 교포 학습자들의 한국어 특징들을 기존의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 정리하여 살펴본다. 교포학습자들은 대체적으로 구어보다 문어에 약한 특징을 가지고 있으며 조사 활용의 혼동이 잦은 것이 특징이다. 그밖에 주어의 생략과 경어 사용 등에서 약점을 보이며 명확하지 않게 문장을 종결하는 습관이 있다. 본고의 결과가 영어권 교포 학습자들을 대상으로 한 한국어 교육의 기초 자료로서 도움이 되기를 기대한다. 한국어 구어 말뭉치의 형태 주석 방법과 몇 가지 문제에 대하여

This thesis is about the methods of grammatical annotation and the practical questions about spoken corpus. Since the grammatical annotation about corpus is the essential work, not a few of grammatical annotation about written corpus have been done. But only few the grammatical annotation about spoken corpus have been done. In this thesis, I examined the difference of the principals and genius between spoken corpus and written corpus. Also I have a thought about how to systematize the tag set. As I made a subject of discussion about the problems which I faced. (Paichai University)

The purpose of this study is to describe the distributional aspects, meanings, syntactic features of -keyss- shown in the actual Korean spoken language and to research the semantic functions of -keyss- from the perspective of korean language education. It is noticeable that, in the distributional aspects, the idiomatic -keyss- is shown very frequently in the Korean spoken language. To inquiry whether the locutionary aspects of -keyss- are also reflected well in Korean texts for foreigners, it is necessary to examine carefully how the various semantic functions are presented in them. In this study, we describe the problems caused by -keyss- of ‘future’ that is presented first in its semantic functions. And we suggest to present -keyss- used in idiomatic expressions as one unit for more efficient teaching. (Keimyung University)

보조동사 ‘-아/-어 주다’의 기능적 특성 연구

This paper discussed the functional characteristic of auxiliary verb-a/-ə juda(- 아/-어 주다). Most of previous reaches focused on semantic characteristics. However, this study concentrates on functional characteristic rather than meaning. Auxiliary verb -a/-ə juda has characteristic of directionality. It is originated in verb juda(주다). And its characteristic makes relation between A and B who are the participants of the sentences. In these relations, semantic characteristics of auxiliary verb -a/-ə juda can be captured. 本稿の目的は、無声阻害音が連続する際に起こる緊張音化という音韻現象を統率音韻論の理論にもとづいて分析することである。特に、開音節言語とされる日本語において子音の連続が顕著にみられる漢字語 (複数の漢字で構成される漢字熟語) に注目し、漢字と漢字の結合部分に無声阻害音が表れる場合に起こる音韻現象が韓国語と日本語でそれぞれどのような様相を見せるかを分析する。 無声阻害音が連続する場合に起こる音韻現象として韓国語の硬音化と日本語の促音化がある。後の子音が緊張音になる原理としては、オンセット間の統率関係を成立させるため統率する側の元素Hにヘッドの資格を与えることで説明できる。だたし、韓国語では無声阻害音が連続するすべての状況において硬音化が起こるのに対し、日本語では軟口蓋破裂音[k]に無声阻害音が後続する場合促音化は起こらない。本稿ではこの現象を解説するにあたり二つの可能性を提示した。ひとつは促音化のもうひとつの特徴である調音位置の同化が起こらないことによるとする論議であり、もうひとつはオンセット間で統率関係が成立しないことによるとするものである。この研究では[k]の後で促音化が起こらない理由について後者のほうに妥当性があると結論づける。 (韓国外国語大学/日本、神奈川県立外語短期大学)

‘기쁘다’ 유사 어휘군의 의미론적 연구

Though the importance of the lexical education has long been emphasized in the Korean language education, often it does not turn out true when borrowing the arguments which have been set out by the Korean academic circles as it is. Especially, the arguments on the synonym, a lexical set similar in its meaning, should be started from the awareness of the problems that they should be widely defined and studied in the Korean language education. The Korean academic circles have regarded the synonyms as a pair or a set of vocabularies, largely focusing on their semantic similarities. However, phonemes, forms, grammar, pragmatics, and synonyms in lexical relations as well as semantics should be studied in the Korean language education, because foreign learners of Korean language may experience learning disorder since they consider the vocabularies which have similar phonemes, forms, grammar, pragmatics, etc. as the synonyms. This thesis has identified the differences in the semantics of psychological adjectives which have many synonyms, based on the study by Hyunkyung Yoo and Hyounhwa Kang(2000) who established the extended notion of synonyms. Though it is not easy to discern the differences among these vocabularies because the psychological adjectives have a strong semantic contiguity and syntactic similarity among many synonyms in the lexical relation, this study proceeded a discussion for 4 vocabularies {기쁘다, 즐겁다, 재미있다, and 행복 하다} of high frequency, which are listed in Korean Textbook Beginners’ Level among the vocabularies belonging to the same emotional area with ‘기 쁨(joy)’ and defined as the extended notion of synonym to ‘기쁘다’. This thesis has identified the semantic differences of the synonyms in the lexical relation, suggesting that the position of synonyms which has been argued by the Korean academic circles should be the extended notion of synonyms in the Korean language education. There are two limitations: the range of the extended notion of synonyms with which this study has dealt is not wide enough, and the link between the results of the study and the Korean language education is weak. However, since there are significantly many synonyms that could be linked extendedly among the Korean vocabularies, it is expected that the subsequent efforts would be continued to set up the relationship between these vocabularies in accordance with the Korean language education and apply the error analysis or study of collocations to it. The purpose of this paper is to find out what kinds of teaching and learning methods are suitable for those who learn Korean with specific needs and purposes not like those who study abroad in Korea with academic purposes. A group of thirty Chinese government workers participated in this study. They spent three to six months studying Korean. They wanted to improve their Korean in order to use it in their work places. Also their interest in the Korean popular culture motivated them to learn the Korean language. Therefore teaching methods should be geared to help them learn how to speak Korean according to different linguistic and cultural contexts. The learning of vocabulary should meet their specific needs and especially the learning of the culture as well as the learning of the target language itself should be emphasized. As there will be more people from other countries who would like to learn from the Korean movement for a better life(Saemaul movement) enacted about three decades ago, more studies of this kind are expected to be done. 한국어 초급 교재의 비교 연구 - 문법 항목을 중심으로 -

As most of the learners of Korean are adult learners who are learning this language in a formal context, the grammar is an essential part of the instruction. In this paper, I investigate how the grammar is dealt in the textbooks. Chapter II the main part of the paper, is a comparative study of some commonly used textbooks. Here, the descriptions of 21 grammatical items were compared. This includes questions about the relative order of the grammatical items introduced in the textbooks, the way how they are defined and described, and also the terminology. Differences were found in all these areas, and especially the terminology and the translations seemed to be confusing. So, some suggestions were made for the improvement in chapter Ⅲ. As the number of female international marriage migrants increases, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family has published a korean text book for beginners composed of female international marriage migrants. The text book has made to develop their korean skill and help them to adapt to korean society. Keimyung University conducted education with the text book published by Ministry of Gender Equality by Daegu Gieongbuk Development Institute. The paper explored insufficient facts and practical application of the text book through teaching at school. Moreover, this paper suggests the way how the text book should be improved in practical teaching. (Keimyung University)

Korean and Thai and gives the definition of culture education. And it also compares Korean culture and customs with those of Thai, finding out proper teaching methods. And the purpose of Korean education is the thing that not only makes the students listen to and comprehend Korean, and read and understand materials written in Korean, but also speak Korean and write in Korean. Language is a tool for communication, and it is also a basic means with which man keeps social and it creates, develops and succeeds to culture. Furthermore, because language is bound to vary for the society accordingly, it is of much importance to acquire not only a language but also many circumstances such as cultures and customs belonging to a society of the target language.
