한국어 교재와 영어 교재의 조언 화행 비교 연구

The study aims at analyzing advice in the KSL and the ESL textbooks. The study investigates the patterns of advice in terms of contexts and the relationships between speakers and listeners, and also compares the degree of directness of the presented advice according to the contexts, the relationships between the Ss and the Ls, and the occurrence of request of advice. For the study, five KSL textbooks and six ESL textbooks in the beginning and intermediate levels are utilized. The results of the study are as follows: First, the KSL and the ESL textbooks display a similar pattern in presenting advice in terms of the contexts except the case of the ‘wrong-doing’. Second, in terms of the relationship between the S and the L, advice is presented most when the S and the L are equal in the both of the textbooks. Third, in the degree of directness, compared to the case of the ESL textbooks, the KSL textbooks tend to present advice in more direct ways in general. In addition, the KSL textbooks exhibit the most frequent use regardless of the different variables, but the ESL textbooks, on the contrary, show different patterns in accordance with the different variables, such as the relationship between the S and the L and the occurrence of request of advice. This is because both China and Korea belong to the Confucian cultural sphere and the Sino-graphic cultural sphere, which makes exchanges between the two countries more convenient. In eighteenth Century, China is the world's cultural center, whose culture was the mainstream in East Asian cultures, and played a leading role in the cultural communication. This paper is to study how the culture of Qing dynasty spread into the North Korean dynasty, and its effect on the production of Northern Learning awareness, namely, the thought on Practical Learning. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between South Korea and China, this paper will provide beneficial inspiration for the elimination of various cultural frictions and further strengthen the cultural exchanges between the two countries. The object of this study is to provide a method of travel essay writing education utilizing Local Culture Experience for KAP Learners. In addition, this study was designed to identify the significance of travel essay writing education utilizing Local Culture Experience. To accomplish this, the study defined the concept of ‘Local Culture Experience learning’ by reviewing the old concepts. Then established the principle of integrated education instruction of Reading and Local Culture Experience and travel essay writing. Based on the results, this study designed a Local Culture Experience learning model. Finally, practical measures were presented. The analysis of survey results also show that the recognition of Learners about the culture of living in the area very positive. This method was interesting because. Learners experienced the local culture and learned how to write travel essay writing. The study on Teaching has gone a process of instruction with learning and Local Culture Understanding. This study has significance on that provides opportunity for learners to write New vocabulary.(Paichai University)

This study started from the purpose of analyzing communication in the virtual world and trying to adjust it to the classroom. Electronic communication is defined as a communication, functioned by internet, new media, such as smart phones. Until now, it has been natural that the communication of the virtual world has been accessed though the computer, therefore, previous studies have been based on computer-mediated communication(CMC). The theory of this study is also based on CMC, however, it limits its range only to the writing on internet of Korean learners. This study gives various examples of Korean learners' writings up to electronic communication service(ECS), and arranged it according to the topics of writings in each media of Korean learners. I hope this study will be a foundation for the analysis of electronic communication of Korean learners for future studies.(Hankuk University of Foreign Studies)

일본어 2자 한자어 형용동사와 이에 대응하는 한국어 ‘2자 한자어+하다’, ‘2자 한자어+이다’의 대조 연구

As a lots of words of Chinese origin in both Korean and Japanese are used in the same meaning, Japanese Korean learners have a strong tendency to misuse Sino-Korean words confusing them with Sino-Japanese words. Especially in using Korean predicates derived from Sino-Korean words of 2 Chinese characters, Japanese Korean learners have much possibility to make errors. In this paper, we tried to make a contrastive study between Japanese adjective-verbs of 2 Chinese characters and Korean ‘2 Chinese characters+hada’, ‘2 Chinese characters+ida’. Most of Sino-Japanese words of 2 Chinese characters composing Japanese adjective-verbs could form Korean predicate in which ‘hada’ or ‘ida’ is attached to 2 Chinese characters. In this paper, we examined the possible corresponding relations between Japanese adjective-verbs of 2 Chinese characters and Korean ‘2 Chinese characters+hada’, ‘2 Chinese characters+ida’. We constructed the Korean list of 2 Chinese characters for each relation, too. This kind of paper, in providing valuable basic material for Korean language education, could be considered to make a contribution for reducing Japanese Korean learners' errors. The purpose of this study is to search for measures to support a residential-culture education program for multicultural families based upon a premise of its importance. By analysing the supporting programs of Gangwon province multicultural family support center, the residential-culture education status was examined and through the in-depth interview with five immigrant women who resides in the city of Chumcheon, their living experience, recognition of living environment and the difference of residential-culture between Korea and their home country were researched. As a result, there are almost no residential-culture education programs by multicultural family support centers, only eight among those fourteen centers have a few introductory classes mentioning food-culture as multicultural families integration education, therefore immigrant women experiences psychological distress not only by the overall immigrant living discomfort but the cultural conflict between family members caused by the different living style. Consequently, residential-culture education program to be conducted not only for immigrants but also for every multicultural family members, also ‘Education program to understand residential-culture’ and ‘Education program to support adaptation for residential-culture transition’ to be proposed in the early stage of immigration. These programs shall help them to adapt to the different living style and minimize the cultural conflict of family members by understanding different residential-culture of each other. The main purpose of this study is to diagnose validity and effectiveness of directive sentence in Korean textbook for foreign learner using the corpus-based approach. It evaluates directive sentences according to textbook's level by three criteria such as structural complexity, variations of grammatical forms and words, and validity of using grammatical forms and words fit to the certain level. In structural complexity diagnosis, frequencies in use of words, clauses per directive sentence which are shown in every sentence are measured in an assumption that the level of textbook became higher; the complexity of directive sentence is higher. In variations in words and expressions diagnosis, the cumulative frequencies in use of various forms are evaluated in directive sentence. In validity of using words and expressions of communication diagnosis, it will be investigated whether the directive sentence are constructed with words and expressions which are studied and understandable, by comparing with the list of words and expressions of the textbooks. It may be expected that the result of this study can be utilized in developing textbook and language proficiency test such as TOPIK. (Yonsei University)

한국어능력시험의 구인타당도 분석

The purposes of this paper were to investigate the construct validity of Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK) and to identify the adequacy of item types (subjective / objective) in Writing Section. In order to achieve the goals, the test data from three administrations of TOPIK(22th, 23th, and 24th test) were analyzed. Exploratory factor analyses and correlation analyses were conducted to obtain empirical evidences. The major findings of this study were two-folded: First, each of 4 sections in TOPIK did not represent unique domain as designed by test specification. The correlations among scores of 4 sections were relatively high compared with the results of TOEIC which shared similar test purpose with TOPIK. Also it was found that basic level test form tended to have unidimensional characteristic rather than advanced level test form. Second, there was not much unique effect of subjective items in Writing section compared with objective items. Correlations between subscores of subjective items and scores of Writing section became lower in the advanced form. The goal of the article is to describe the problem and improvement of International Education Quality Assurance System that led by Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The article discusses the core problems of evaluation index of the assurance system. First, it is about the index of the variety of foreign students. There is no direct correlation between a variety of foreign students and qualitative management of foreign students. Emphasizing only a variety of nationalities of foreign students is not suitable for government policies which is about the expansion of attracting foreign students, and it can cause low morale of universities that have tailored education, and individualized education which is responsible for students’ admission, graduation, and job. Second, it is about the index of linguistic ability. Ministry of Education, Science and Technology makes the standard of certified universities based on the forth-level TOPIK of 30% and over, but it can be judged as little excessive standard. In Regional universities, unlike universities located in Seoul, foreign students who are admitted have mostly second or third level of TOPIK, so it is needed to be downward revision. Of course, there would be concern about a decline in learning quality, but it can be solved when a graduation requirement is limited by a forth-level of TOPIK. Therefore, International Education Quality Assurance System improves the university’s responsibility, and it attracts and manages outstanding foreign students in domestic universities, but several problems and the unequal distribution of some index are needed to be concerned and improved. 태국 중고등학교 한국어교육의 현황과 과제

This paper is about teaching Korean in local secondary schools in Thailand, where Korean language has been taught as a foreign language since 2007 according to the 'Korean Language Teachers Dispatch Program in Local Secondary Schools in Thailand’, which was conducted by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology in Korea in 2011. The aim of this study is to determine the status of teaching Korean in secondary schools in Thailand from 2007 to March 2012 and suggests, based on the results, the future subjects to be offered in order to expand the teaching of Korean to secondary schools in Thailand and progress safely with this program. To do this, the following are fully investigated: the background of Korean teaching that began in secondary schools in Thailand, the characteristics and kinds of educational institutions, educational contents and environments and so on. This paper suggests the future subjects to be offered to enhance the teaching of Korean in secondary schools in Thailand through this program, focusing on developing curriculum and textbooks. It also proposes how to give students learning motivation, developing a locally adapted teaching methodology, and training Korean language teachers for overseas Korean education. This study is the first paper discussing the teaching of Korean in secondary schools in Thailand, and it characterizes the activities of professional Korean language teachers dispatched to overseas public schools by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology in Korea. The results of this study will contribute to extending the teaching of Korean in Thailand and will offer suggestions for an appropriate curriculum. (Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies)
