송강(松江) 정철(鄭澈) 문학(文學)의 특질(特質)

Chong Ch`ol(1536~1593), a famous poet of the Choson-Dynasty period, has been estimated as a respectable poet with his own poems from his contemporary time up to date. However, despite this reputation the aesthetic features of his poems, to be exact, have been not lightened still. So surveying closely some remarkable studies on his lirerature, I tried to reveal them in terms of two aspects, one side his ultimate concern and the other one his own way of presentation of emotions in his poems. There is one remarkable research that treats him as one of the Honam poets group, in which Song Sun, Paek Kwang-hun, Kim Song-won, and so on, his companion poets, worked. But this study has a serious problem because it is apt to devaluate his own values. Though lightening freshly characteristics of his poems`, it is not acceptable for us. Because his litreary works have some different features from those of his companions. In brief comparison, his poems reveal some different characteristic features that their hero shows deep concern at human being itself or his relationships while those of his companions` at the nature itself surrounding their places. There is another remarkable research on his literature, in which his poems are estimated highly as a pole of the poets group, so it is contrary to the former. However, this review also problems. It can not explain his peculiar characteristics different from those of the literary works of Yun Son-do, one of the famous poets of the later period of Choson-Dynasty. Its estimation is equal to two poets and their poems but each has some different features. While two take the same matters, for example, birds, pine trees, moon, etc., each hero`s ultimate concern does not have sameness. Besides, Chong Ch`ul take some original way of dialogue in his works. If we can speak highly of Chong Ch`ul or his literary works, it all due to his uniqune aesthetic features, that is, his hero`s showing deep concern at human being itself of its relalationships and his poems` original way of dialogue.

Beowulf is the oldest of the great long poems written in English. Thus, English literature virtually begins with Beowulf. What is intriguing about this oldest English poem, however, is not its historical importance; rather, how it fares in the midst of changing critical perspectives is the focus of this paper. In this respect, the way the dominant ideology and its operative discourse are inscribed in this text draws our attention. When we consider the fact that the basic material of Beowulf is pagan and the audience of this poem are Christians, the importance of the dominant ideology of Christianity in operation in this poem vis-a-vis paganism of the hero looms large as an important issue of critical interpretation. in this context, we also have to take into consideration how delicately and skillfully the poet negotiates the treacherous terrain. It is immediately apparent how superbly the Beowulf poet balances the two contradictory ideologies: paganism of the hero and Christianity of the audience. The means of achieving this balancing act is what we might term the appositive word. In the appositive word are layered the original meaning of Anglo-Saxon etymology and the adopted meaning of Christianity. The Anglo-Saxon word metod, for instance, means creator to the pagans without any Christian implication. The same word means the Christian Creator to the Christian audience of the poem. By employing the apposed words in this manner, the Beowulf poet creatively filters the pagan elements through the Christian perspective. In other words, Beowulf is read differently by pagans and Christians at the same time. Why Beowulf is still intriguing in the latter part of the twentieth century is that it shows how the dominant ideology imposes its mind-set on the text of the poem through its discourse.

Etant donne que le romancier n`est pas un homme qui met en forme des idees ou des principes, le roman ne contient pas necessairement quelque opinion sur la civilisation. Ii n`en demeure pas moms qu`il existe des oeuvres romanesques qui constituent une sorte de critique de la civilisation. Des grands ecrivains du siecle des Lumieres en donnent des exemples; Montesquieu, Voltaire et Rousseau critiquent dans leurs romans, bien entendu chacun a sa maniere, la civilisation de leur temps. Stendhal est un temoin clairvoyant de son epoque; mieux et plus vite que ses contemporains, il remarque une nouvelle etape de la civilisation profondement marquee par la revolution industrielle. Il note dans ses romans certains aspects de cette civilisation et cherche e en penetrer les caracteristiques. Stendhal Se sent bien vite en conflit avec l`ere industrielle; elle n`est jamais compatible avec ses gouts delicats et sa nature d`artiste. La societe que Stendhal presente dans ses romans est celle ou regnent despotiquement des valeurs materielles. C`est une societe terne et conformiste qui exclut la passion et fait triompher la vulgarite. Stendhal est douloureusement conscient que les hommes ne vivent pas heureux dans le monde moderne. Cette critique severe de Stendhal represente en quelque sorte des angoisses de toutes les civilisations modernes.

몰리에르의 변명 -『타르튀프』 논쟁에서

En vue de degager le systeme de la signification chez Moliere, nous analysons les textes qu`il a ecrits pendant la querehle du Tartuffe: les trois placets presentes au roi et la preface du Tartuffe. Si la lecture se situe a la surface de ces textes, Moliere semble plaider sa propre cause en s`appuyant sur l`ideologie dominante et les doctrines esthetiques de son temps. Mais si l`on procede a une lecture approfondie, un autre systeme de signification se degage de ces ecrits, systeme profond qui, contredisant les raisons superuicieliement invoquees par 1`auteur pour defendre son oeuvre, laisse voir les vrais avis de Moliere sur le theatre et sur l`homme. Ce systeme double de la signification nous parait une des strategies que Moliere a adoptees pour se proteger et en meme temps pour s`assumer la liberte en poursuivant ses activites theatrales dans la situation politico-culturelle de son temps.

Diese Abhandlung will versuchen, erstens Thomas Manns Nietzsche-Rezeption zu untersuchen, zweitens Nietzsches Gedanken, Ausdrucksweise und seine Spuren in den Werken Thomas Manns herauszufinden. Thomas Manns Nietzsche-Rezeption war keine einmalige Entdeckung, sondern hat sich in "mehreren Schuben" ereignet and auf Jahre verteilt. Thomas Mann schatzte Nietzsche vor allem als Prosaisten und Essayisten. Seine tiefe Vertrautheit mit den Schriften Nietzsches, sein standiger Umgang mit ihm and seine Zitierfreudigkeit verraten den Wunsch nach Beglaubigung eigener Gedauken and Meinungen. Die klaren Spuren des Nietzsche-Einflusses in den Werken Thomas Manns sind die wortlichen Zitate. Sie linden sich in den fruhen Werken ebenso wie im "Faustus". Im Fruhwerk Thomas Manns und auch noch im "Zauberberg" wird das literarische Zitat vom Leser stets erkannt, namlich auf der Erkennbarkeit basiert die literarische Wirkung. Im Spatwerk dagegen wird das Zitierverfahren "immer kryptischer". Thomas Mann hat von Nietzsche auch die Ausdrucksweise ubernommon. Er hat den erkenntnistheoretischen Perspektivismus Nietzsches in perspektivisches Sehen, Beschreiben und Erzahlen umgesetzt. Der Begriff der ``doppelten Optik`` wurzelt auch in dem Perspekt-vismues Nietzsches. Damit das Ganze zu seinem Recht kommt, muΒ das einzelne von wecheelnden Blickpunkt standig relativiert werden. Diese Funktion erfullen die Thomas Mannsche Beschreibweise wie ``einerseits andererseits``, ``nicht so und nicht so`` und die Montage mehrerer Erscheinungen. Hierhin gehort auch die Verwendung gekoppelter Adjektive, und der Charakter des Zweideutigen ist auch bei der Beschreibung von Naturphanomenen zu erkennen. Der Perspektivismus des Erzahlens fuhrt einerseits zu einer totalen Auflosung der Einzelheiten, erzielt aber adererseits einen unendlichen Komplex von Beziehungen. Der Mythos-Begriff Thomas Manns beruht auf die Lehre der Metempsychose. Schopenhauers Lehre, daΒ der Tod keine Macht habe uber unser Leben, welches unzerstorbar sei, grundet sich auf den Glauben an das ``Nune stans``, das ewige Einssein im Herzen der wandelnden Zeit. Das ist eine Idee, die auch Nietzsche die ewige Wiederkehr des Gleichen nannte. Die von Nietzsche konzipierte Idee der "ewigen Wiederkehr des Gleichen" realisiert sich hei Thomas Mann als Erzahlstruktur der perspektivischen Wiederholung.
