Korean government is trying to make new policy for foreign nationals in Korea as the number of immigrants into Korea is increasing nowadays. A characteristic of Korea`s changing policy is that the social integration for immigrants and Korean nationals is one of main issues following immigration management and residential management for foreigners. The social integration for immigrants and Korean nationals means that the immigrants in Korea is recognized as new regular community component of this society, not those who are scheduled to leave Korea. So, both parties of Korean society need to respect each other and to make society harmonious. This paper reviewed policy environment, law, regulation, institution and policy case related to the social integration policy. As the result of this study, I could find that this policy is very timely-proper policy in the changing time of policy environments. However, I also could find some trials and errors in the social integration policies and the limits of those governmental policies such as not making ultimate goals and visions of these policies.

Korea is among the world`s most ethnically homogeneous nations. Those who do not share such features are often rejected by the Korean society or face discrimination. However, as the increase of foreign migrants in Korea transforms a single-ethnic homogenous Korean society into multiethnic and multicultural one, Korean government and the civil society pay close attention to multiculturalism as an alternative value to their policy and social movement. This study is a comparative analysis of the causality of acceptabilities toward members of multicultural society in Korea. Based on the social survey data, this study attempts to explore facts and features concerning about multicultural acceptabilities in Korea, and to explain the causal effect of social values(such as nationalism, multicultural attitudes, geographical belongings, multicultural directions, and demographic-sociological factors) on the attitudes of multicultural acceptabilities empirically.

This paper is written for proving that Korean history education for overseas Korean should be systemized. Korean history education is statutory education, and has unique legal background. On the other hand, the level of textbook is just the copy of Korean history textbook used in middle school or high school. Moreover, there is no level of difficulty divided by ability of speaking and writing Korean. According to the survey to students, the half of them did not know about Korean history accurately, and had no interesting in it. However after finishing the whole course, they had the satisfaction about Korean history class. Although many politicians, researchers, and teachers agree with importance of overseas Korean and Korean history education for them, the infrastructure for it is still poor. The new paradigm of Korean history, development of Korean history textbook, educational methodology for overseas Korean, and specialist for educating Korean history are required.

This paper begins from the concern about the overflowing violence found in our daily lives. Rene Girard, through the concepts of ``Imitative desire`` and ``Scapegoat mechanism``, discovered the true nature of violence revealed in various ways both individually and collectively. By contrasting the world of mythology and that of the Christian bible that have seeming similarities, Girard explains the fundamental difference between them; in the realm of mythology, the process of releasing violence through having an innocent scapegoat is deliberately hidden. On the other hand, in the bible, it is clearly shown that the method of releasing collective violence through scapegoat mechanism is not only morally wrong but is itself a deceit. This paper aims to explain the root of the basic and fundamental mechanism of violence through reflecting our internal world based on Girard`s theories and interpretations. In addition, the paper attempts to suggest a way to escape from the strong waves of violence, which can be done through the effort to resemble the character of Jesus. Jesus, by stopping the violent crowd and saving a victimized woman from that surging violence, opened up a possibility to stop the destructive force of desire, which is imitative in its essence.
