탈현대 패러다임과 21세기 특수교육의 전망

In the early part of the 20th century, the Industrial Revolution, which spread by objectivism and microscopic value brought a great change in the way of human life. People became free from the poverty and overcame time and space. Late in the 20th century, Information revolution era, which taken the initiative as subjectivism and macroscopic value was a great revolution in the paradigm. This change in the late part of 1980`s, is unfolding rapidly. And it is prospected that this paradigm shift will dominate to natural science and social science in 21 century. Special education has been affected by the influence of this change and led to restructuring of special and general education. Specially, the restructuring of general school brought a rapid change of special education. Therefore, to examine the task and prospect of special education, this study deals with seven major issues in order such as quality-centered, school restructuring, important subject contents in school education, paradigm shift for inclusion, change of teaching-learning evaluation system, integrating special and general education, and prospect of future special education.

특수교육재정 확보의 실태와 개선방안

The purposes of this study are to analyze the actual conditions of the finance for special education and to adopt the schemes to secure the finance for special education. For these purposes, I examined the essence of special educational finance and the theoretical backgrounds related to the security of special educational finance. I determined the problems with the system and conditions of Korean special educational finance and presented the schemes to improve it. The problems with special educational finance including its structural problems, general problems, and systemic problems were analyzed. The schemes to increase the finance for special education were presented after determining the methods to secure.

정상노인과 중풍환자 노인의 삶의 질

In order to analysis which aspects of quality of life were perceived as important, three health based different groups were compared with contents of quality of life questionnaire. In this reanalysis we found that the Stroke in private care-institute shows the factor of psychological health as the most imporant, whereas the Stroke in house perceived the activities like outgoing as imporant for their current health status. Compared to the old people with the Stroke the normal old people perceived these psychological and physical factors less imporant. This results indicate that the concepts of quality of life is to understand based on idiographic process and the rehabilitation should be performed with aspects of health realted quality of life.

Employment is a major issue affecting health and well-belling, yet affair and maintaining a place in the workforce has seen an enormous challenge for consumer of mental health service. The purpose of this study is to identify roles that are perceived by Vocational Rehabilitation professional as important for prediction employment outcome of persons with psychiatric disability. The finding of this study can be summarized as follows ; The first, it is necessary the interdisciplinary partnership and manpower inter exchange between Mental Health and Vocational Rehabilitation. The second, it is necessary the placement of professional and in place system. The third, it is necessary activated of Vocational Rehabilitation program and Employment in Psychiatric Rehabilitation. The force, it is formulation a plan for partnership of Mental Health System and Vocational Rehabilitation System.

다운증 아동과 일반 아동의 시지각 발달특성 비교

The purpose of this study is to analize, to compare the Down` Syndrom Children by the developmental characteristics of visual perception of mental age and separate subtests. It is calculated upon, therefore, above the two group`s tendency of the reaction by perceptual age(PA). The subject of this study is 80 of the Down` Syndrom (IQ 50-70) at the special school for the mental retarded and also 80 of the normal children (IQ 90-110) at nursery school, kindergarten, and elementary school in Seoul. Their PA is measured by the DTVP(Developmental Test of Visual Perception). The results of this study are as follows : The first, it is shown differential characteristics between the Down` Syndrom group and the normal children group ; that is, the latter is almost approached the high level of visual perception at MA 9 years old, the former is delayed at 1-2 years old in all students of DTVP. It is shown that the two groups are indifferent developmental from VM(Visual -Motor Coordination) area at MA 3 years old; the Down`s Syndrom group`s children are more retardation than normal children about one year at FG(Figure-Ground Discrimination), PC(Perceptual Constancy), PS(Position in Space), SR(Special Relationships) area, etc. and especially it is shown delay at the PC area. The second, it is revealed that the Down` Syndrom group are informed quickly visual perception development at the mental age 5-7 years old, but normal group are informed clearly visual perception development at the mental age 3-5 years old. There are some characteristics among the subtests; that is, at the Down`s Syndrom group, it is retarded about 2 years old at the PC area more than normal children gorup. Thus it is shown that the latter is very lower the abstract ability than the former.

재택ㆍ순회 교육 지원 체제에 대한 관련 전문가의 욕구 분석

The purpose of this study was to identify the measures to improve the supportive system of Residential and Itinerant Education by analyzing the needs of the teachers and clinical school inspectors(principal or vice principal) and educational specialists(inspectors or researchers) who were charged with the disabled children. The results of this study were as follows; First, the specialists` needs on the teachers` personnel management were 1) the classes should be charged with Residential and Itinerant education specialists and 2) should be given an equal benefits and additional points to special education teacher. And 3) clinical school inspectors should complete more than 10 hours training. Second, the specialists needs on financial management were 1) a private car and a car for business use should be provided and 2) the teachers` training and the expanding of the Department of Special Education should be made. And 3) the most required support was the financial support for adaptive behaviors and treatment education activities and 4) the suitable cost for the charged teachers a day was 10,000 won. Third, the specialists` needs on the management of school affairs were 1) the subjects` classes should have 3~4 hours per week and 2) the number of students should be 2~4, and the commuting time to school should be 1 hour. 3) The education subjects were the disabled children suffering from complex disorder and the contents of education should be focused on the life adaptation and therapeutics education, and 4) collective activities should be mainly the adaptation activities of local community.

발달장애아동과 일반아동의 혈액형 관련 연구

The purposes of this study were to find out correlations between developmental disorders and blood type factors. Blood type factors examined in this study were ABO blood type and RH blood type for children and parents. The subjects were 221 children with disability and their parents, and 542 children without disorders their parents. The questionnaire was composed of 6 items related in ABO blood type and RH blood type for children and parents. The results of this study were as follows: First, there were no significant differences among fathers, mothers, and children of two groups in the distribution rate of ABO blood type, but there were significant differences between parents of two groups in he distribution rate of RH blood type. Second, there were no significant differences between children of two groups in the distribution rate of RH blood type. Third, mother-children correlations were higher than father-children correlations in two groups. Fourth, there were no significant differences in the rate of having the same father-mother ABO blood type between two groups. Fifth, developmental disability group was higher then general group in the rate of having father-mother-children different RH blood type. seventh, general group was higher than developmental disability group in the rate of marrying between father-mother with RH- blood type. The results of this study suggest that there are correlations between developmental disorders and RH blood type of parents.

자폐아와 정신지체아의 운동프로그램 적응 능력 및 사회성 비교연구

The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of the physical exercise program, focused on the children`s ability to adapt to the applied programs as well as the improvement of social ability, when it was applied to children with autism and mentally handicapped. The study showed overall affirmative results as follows. Firstly, it was assessed that children with mentally handicapped were better adapted to the program than those with mentally handicapped during the whole period of 12 weeks that 24 kinds of physical exercise programs were applied. Secondly, the improvement of social ability as a result of the program was also observed differently between the group of autism and mentally handicapped. Thirdly, the adaptation ability of children with autism during the application of the program was observed as in the following order, - moving material - walking with ball between legs - pushing swing - etc. while children with mentally handicapped were observed as in the following order, - boarding airplane - passing ball in turns - moving material - etc. Finally, the exercise program was considered to contribute significantly to the improvement of social ability of both children with autism and mentally handicapped.

학습장애아동의 사회적 능력에 관한 연구

The definition of learning disabilities has been argued and modified. One of the main arguments is about the discrepancy between abilities and achievements, and another one is about the social competence of children with learning disabilities. Their low achievements can affect their social competence and conversely low social competence can affect their achievement. Children with low social competence used to be rejected from their peer and it can result in emotional and behavioral problems. Social competence is the ability to use social skills effectively for interaction in their social situations. The concepts between social competence and social skills have been confused, but now social skills are considered as a component of social competence. The social skills, age, problem behavior and academic achievement are considered as the predictive variables for social competence. The study of social competence of children with learning disabilities is important because it predicts children`s achievements, behavioral problems, social skills, peer-relations, and adaptational problems after childhood. Now the prevalence of learning disabilities is increasing. So we need to recognize social competence and related problems of children with learning disabilities for more effective instructional intervention.

일상생활 지원 서비스에 따른 발달장애아 문제행동 패턴 분석

The purpose of this study is to predict the character of target behavior with developmental disabilities, to apply actively a behavior management and educational Support. This study illustrated the investigation for frequency of target behavior, analysis into thd pattern of behavior for sex distinction and an age bracket through Internet Service for Family Supportive Program. The results of the study show as follows. First, it is found that the target behavior in the study belongs almost to the field of behavior(e.g., self-stimulatory behavior, self-injurious, yelling, crying, self-manage, tantrum). Also, it was found out the specific gravity of target behavior shows the field of sleeping and excretion is related to the fundamental and biological daily living. Second, the result of target behavior analysis according to sex distinction showed extraordinarily occurred in male than in female in the field of behavior. Third, the result of target behavior analysis according to an age bracket showed children above eight year by age than other occurred high-frequency in the field of behavior and aggression.
