압축비 조절기구가 부착된 단기통 디젤엔진에 대한 BDF의 적용

An experimental study on engine performance parameters and emission gas characteristics for bio-diesel fuels (BDF`s) was performed by using of a specific engine; the type of single-cylinder, four-stroke, water-cooled diesel engine with variable compression ratio adjustment mechanism (the model Farryman A 30 marine, TQ, UK). Specific fuel consumptions (SFC) and soot tendency (smoke %) for various fuel and/or operation conditions were also examined. The BDF`s used were prepared BD 20 and BD 100 together with the commercial diesel fuel (DF) for reference. The established conditions for experiment were 12:1, 14:1, 16:1 and 18:1 for compression ratio (CR), and 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 rpm for engine speed. It was found that SFC of BDF`s is increased 1.3~3.7% compared with DF according to the rpm`s; for the smoke %, BDF`s value is reduced significantly up to max. 45.7 % in comparison to that of DF; and while NOx is increased amazingly up to max. 38%, which is too much than the previous results of around 12.0 %. Also, it does not seem that the engine`s power output remains changed significantly according to the fuels used.

This research is concerned about a case study for determining the required number of resources such as workers and material handling devices, which handle materials in warehouse system. To validate the possibility of efficient logistics operation in warehouse system even under daily maximum product shipment, simulations with animation are performed and the results are analyzed. In determining a dynamic and complex system specification, the status of workers and the other physical facilities are considered through system analysis. The system parameters, which have an important impact on warehouse system performance, are chosen to study their effects. Then, the best condition for the daily maximum product shipment in warehouse system is selected by comparing the simulation results.

In this paper, a more applicable approach in real-life is presented by considering the dynamic nature of variable vehicle`s moving speed along time window and the characteristics of demand points. The demand points are classified into three different categories such as concentrated area I, concentrated area II, and normal area. Also, three different vehicle speeds along the three different time windows supplied by government has been applied. A computer simulation model is constructed using J-Builder to prove the effectiveness of the developed approach.

The goal of this study is to propose the effective method of investigating the injurious factors and making improved plans that prevents the workers against musculoskeletal disorders at an autoparts company and the same business field with similar working conditions and process. A questionnaire were adopted to analyze the symptoms of workers` musculoskeletal disorders, and an ergonomic assessment method such as RULA, OWAS were performed to find out harmful factors of workplace and working posture. Based on the result of the evaluation, to enhance the working environment, improvement of worktable, working space, tools, and outfit was suggested, and induction of mechanical system was also suggested. It can be concluded that the method and process described in this paper could be helpful for diagnosing the musculoskeletal disorders and making improvement plans to the autopart company and the same business field with similar working conditions and process.

워크플로우 관리 기반의 실시간 야드관리시스템의 설계 및 구현

This paper is concerned about design and implementation of a real time yard management system which can efficiently fill up a gap between transportation and warehouse management system in supply chain management. It is difficult to implement an optimal operation method through mathematical programming because of the dynamic complexity of real time yard management system. Therefore, we apply a workflow system, which describes the automation of internal business operations, tasks and transactions that simplify and streamline current business processes, to a real time yard management. In the beginning, we design a large number of workflow patterns in yard management, via worklist mechanism. Then, that is implemented by YAWL which is known as one among workflow specification languages. The proposed design and implementation can improve performance measures of yard management system through dynamically pertinent control.

We suggest a model for such situation, where the small projects are driven as sub-projects of the strategic project pursuing total optimality. A champion is recommended to be the leader of a strategic project for effective control and coordination of sub-projects. Each sub-project follows the disciplined Six Sigma approach for improvement, and is evaluated by its contribution to the champion project. The champion project is performed by supervising and controlling the sub-projects as an integrated whole. The achievements of a champion project are evaluated by meaningful business metrics. Even when projects are identified by a bottom up process, a cluster of highly correlated projects may be more effectively executed by integrating them into a champion project. An example of a Korean company taking a similar approach is also provided.

친환경 목재폐기물처리 파쇄장치 기구부 개발

This research focuses on the development and evaluation of green wood chipper cutting assembly(herical drum cutter and feeding system). The waste wood dominates a lot of weights among industrial waste. Recycling of wood waste is very important in environmental problem solving and energy saving. Green wood chipper is needed for this purpose. The traditional chipper drum has an orthogonal cutting(2D) condition considering of saw cutter and wood cutting pattern. Additional disadvantage of this type include big cutting resistance, high cost of cutting power and extreme occurrence of vibrations. To improve this shortcoming, a helical type drum with an oblique cutting(3D) condition and feeding system are developed, this new parts decreased the vibration and cutting resistance of chipper and also improved productivity and chip porosity.

Aircraft maintenance affects to keep safety, comfort, and on time operation of airplane, however, it is not easy to figure out the optimum number of maintenance workers. The air companies never easy to find the optimum number of maintenance workers since they are needed to be paid high salary as well as high level of technology. A simulation model to calculate the optimum number of maintenance for components is developed to avoid using the simple formula generally using in practice. The model is designed to use only with minimum using available data in field since not the data necessary for simulation models are ready to collect. The waiting time and required number of maintenance are analyzed along with common usage of expensive facility and number of maintenance workers. The economic number of maintenance workers as well as extra number of components are figured out based on the analysis.

디스플레이 공정의 트랙 경보 분석에 관한 연구

There are many alarm equipments embedded in the in-line track to support photo process of display manufacturing. The alarm information is recoded by the alarm systems. The abnormal operation of alarm system decreases the operating ratio of track equipments and finally the productivity of manufacturing is also decreased. First of all, the alarm data was categorized into both down alarm and non-down one. Equipment failure analysis was performed using real alarm data and the result was compared with normal operating alarm systems. Finally effective measures were reduced to improve the manufacturing productivity and the operating ratio of track equipments.

Revised were cold, dry heat, and damp heat, cyclic(12h+12h cycle) tests of IEC Pub. 60068 climatic environmental test standards in 2007, but as of today the revision of the corresponding KS has not been followed yet. The revised test standards are compared with the prerevision ones in terms of the types of tests and test severities. This study shows the difference between the prerevision and the postrevision standards, which will provide the latest information to the industries and be helpful in revising the KS.
