SMED 기법을 적용한 사출공정의 가동준비시간 단축 사례 연구

Manufacturing organization must increase production process flexibility to cope with demand for high diversity and low quantity. To get greater flexibility, organization must find ways to reduce setup and changeover time through elimination of waste and non value added setup activities and convert time spent on changeovers to production time. SMED(Single Minute Exchange of Die) is one of the most successful lean production method for reducing waste in a manufacturing process. This paper describes the application of SMED concept for reduction of changeover time and increasing productivity in injection process industry. The process of reducing changeover time implemented in a case company is described in detail. The implementation has enabled reduction of injection mold changeover time by 81% after changing some of the internal activities to external activities and proper streamlining of activities using SMED technique.

This study deals with a multi-product dynamic lot sizing problem. Different lead-times of multi-modal transportation of a second party logistic(2PL) company are considered. Firstly, a mixed integer programming model is developed to solve this problem. A hybrid genetic algorithm is also developed to find the approximate optimal solution efficiently since these types of problems are NP-hard. A simple numerical example is suggested to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed genetic algorithm.

This paper proposes a methodology for the effective maintenance planning of traffic signal controllers, which are important for the safety of vehicles and pedestrians. For the effective maintenance planning, it is necessary to estimate the lifespan of a traffic signal controller. Since a traffic signal controller operates outdoors, the lifespan depends on the environmental factors including temperature, humidity, and salinity. We devise a deep learning model to estimate the lifespan of a traffic signal controller by using environmental conditions. The proposed maintenance planning methodology computes the optimal maintenance period which provides the lowest maintenance cost.

Proposed paper is the degradation monitoring methodology of cylindrical capacitors. Capacitors are passive two-terminal electrical components, and store potential energy in an electric field. Capacitors are used for blocking direct current while allowing alternating current to pass. Since capacitors are widely used in electronic circuits, it is very important to monitor the degradation of capacitors to ensure the normal functions of the entire electronic circuit. Electric characteristic measurement of a capacitor mounted on a circuit, however, is extremely difficult. To cope with the difficulty, this paper proposes a computer vision based degradation monitoring methodology of cylindrical capacitors.

비운영 저장 신뢰도 예측에 관한 연구

The system, product and equipment often experiences a long period of non-operating period(dormancy or storage) prior to use in its intended function. During non-operating storage period, these systems can be affected by many factors such as temperature, humidity, on-off cycling stress, degradation process and so on. The reliability prediction on these dormancy or storage states is very crucial to their life cycle reliability management for the system improvement and mission reliability achievement. Many theories and methods are proposed for non-operating storage reliability prediction in the literature, but few are applied into practice and old outdated inaccurate MIL-HDBK 217 style-based methods are used by many field engineer in the usual manner. In this paper, storage reliability assessment methods and models based-on failure rate data-book under non-operating state with a long storage time are reviewed and described. Also, if there are available actual field data, this paper presents a reliability assessment framework approach using logistic regression model during non-operating period. By utilizing this framework, end-user is able to develop data-based ad-hoc prediction models more easily and expected to save cost of reliability analysis during the life-cycle of reliability management.

임업에서 정적 모형과 동적 모형을 적용한 업무상사고 사망과 재해율 예측

Occupational accident rate in Korea has occurred most frequently in the service industry, manufacturing industry, and construction industry. However, forestry, agriculture, and fishing are in a blind spot in policies of occupational safety and health because they are usually under 50 workers. So these industries are very important in order to prevent of industrial accidents because of poor safety management. Above all, accurate prediction of the occupational accident rate and fatal accident rate in the forestry is required to prevent the occupational accidents systematically and continuously. Therefore, this paper proposes very efficient policies for prevention of industrial accidents with these prediction results in the forestry. Also, this paper describes the optimal occupational accident rate and fatal accident rate by minimization of the sum of square errors (SSE) among regression analysis method (RAM), exponential smoothing method (ESM), double exponential smoothing method (DESM), auto-regressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model, proposed analytic function model (PAFM) by static method, and, kalman filtering model (KFM) by dynamic method with existing accident data in forestry. In this paper, microsoft foundation class (MFC) software of Visual Studio 2008 was used to minimize SSE of the occupational accident rate and the fatal accident rate. The minimum value of SSE in the forestry was found in 2.8822 and 6.0055 in the occupational accident rate and fatal accident rate, respectively. Accordingly, ARIMA model in the forestry are ideally applied in the accident rate and fatal accident rate. Finally, this paper provides very efficient strategic method in order to prevent the accident of forestry through the trend of determined prediction model and analysis of accident data.

중소기업의 스마트 팩토리 현황 분석을 통한 향상 방안

Securing excellent technology as a key element in the fourth industrial revolution is the most important factor in changing the times, and securing the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry is urgent. Small to medium sized industries (SMSI) are showing differences in terms of investment ability and technology compared to large companies, and their level of recognition and response to the fourth industrial revolution is also low. In this paper, we are going to examine the level of awareness and necessity of smart factory through surveys of CEOs, executives and team leaders of small businesses and present development directions for smart factory operation. Finally, this paper proposes the method of improvement for construction of smart factory through systematic analysis with results of questionnaire and backgrounds of smart factory in SMSI.

PSM 제도의 발전을 위한 RBPS 시스템 도입에 관한 연구

With 20 years of introduction of PSM along with changes in domestic industry, the need for improvement of the system is emerging. Based on the definition and significance of each of the eight components of RBPS, we compared and analyzed with the PSM system in order to investigate the extent to which the introduction of RBPS is effective for domestic companies in order to improve the efficiency of the PSM system. In this paper, we tried to compare and analyze the RBPS and PSM system, and implemented a focus group interview (FGI) on the PSM practitioners. In terms of improving the PSM system, we will actively review the elements of RBPS 'first pillar (Commit to process safety) to ensure that the process safety culture, process safety capability, We expect that the PSM workplace safety culture will be settled if the improvement of the system is checked to evaluate the status of the PSM site.
