본고에서는 니체의 니힐리즘과 이형기 시학의 접점에 주목하고, 니체의 철학 사상을 통해 이형기 시를 효율적으로 감상하는 방법과 효율성에 대해 입증해 보았다. 이형기 시의 미학이 우로보로스의 미학 즉, 긍정과 부정의 역설적 시학에 기반을 두고 현실의 허무를 진단하고 이를 극복하고자 하는 인식에 기반하고 있음에 주목하고, 이와 유사한 관점을 고수하고 있는 니체의 능동적 허무주의를 시 감상의 과정에 적극 도입하고자 하였다. 절대정신과 발전적 지향성을 중심 축으로 설정했던 서양의 형이상학을 부정함으로써 현실을 허무로 진단하고, 이에 대한 극복의 방안으로 의지적 인간을 상정한 니체의 사유는, 이형기 시의 감상 요소로 제안 될 수 있는 ‘소멸과 생성’, ‘극복과 저항’, ‘허무와 의지’, ‘감정의 승화’와 밀접한 관련성이 있다고 하겠다.

In this article, taking notice of the point of contact between Nietzsche's nihilism and Lee Hyeong-gi's poetics, the method to efficiently appreciate Lee Hyeong-gi's poems through Nietzsche's philosophical ideas and the efficiency were demonstrated. Taking notice of the fact that the aesthetics of Lee Hyeong-gi's poems is based on the recognition to diagnose the futility of reality based on Uroboros' aesthetics, that is, the paradoxical poetics of affirmation and negation, and overcome the futility of reality, an attempt was made to actively introduce the active nihilism of Nietzsche that sticks to a perspective similar to the foregoing into the process of poetry appreciation. Nietzsche's thinking, which diagnosed reality as futility by denying the metaphysics of the West which set Absoluter Geist and developmental directivity as the central axis and assumed volitional human beings as a means of overcoming the futility, can be said to be closely related to 'extinction and creation', 'overcoming and resistance', 'futility and will', and 'sublimation of emotion', which can be proposed as elements of appreciation of Lee Hyeong-gi's poems.
