The purpose of this study is to explore the possibilities of flipped learning lessons for college students learning Japanese as liberal arts. In order to verify the effectiveness of this lesson, I compared the learning outcomes and class satisfaction according to basic core competence evaluation with traditional class. The results are as follows. (1) The participants` pre-learning participation rate is 84.3%. The high participation of these pre-learning is linked to the good grades, and the satisfaction of the class is also high. In this respect, it seems that they evaluate the flipped learning lesson positively. (2) In terms of learning achievement, the flipped learning class shows relatively higher score than the traditional one in average score and competency score. For example, the average of final exams is 18.4 points out of 20 points in the flipped learning class, but 11 points in the traditional class. The flipped learning class shows a big difference of 7.4 points higher score compared to the traditional class. The results of evaluations based on core competency are summarized as follows. ① Case of OC2: The flipped learning class is 1.5 points higher than the traditional class. ② Case of OC3: The flipped learning class is 4.2 points higher than the traditional class. ③ Case of OC5: The flipped learning class is 1.8 points higher than the traditional class. Noteworthy is that the width in OC3 competency scores is relatively large. This suggests that the effect of the flipped learning lesson applied in this study somewhat improved students` grammar and writing ability. These results suggest that the operation of flipped learning class has a positive effect on the satisfaction of class and learning outcomes.

This study has analyzed the beliefs of a Korean native speaker teacher for the guidance of kanji writing by the semi-structured interview and PAC analysis. As a result of the analysis, the teacher had beliefs from the following three points: 1) a guidance consider the learner`s affective aspects, 2) a belief of Kanji learning, and 3) a teaching style of the single Kanji writing. About the learner`s affective aspects, the teacher was trying to make learners be conscious to write Kanji while taking into consideration the feelings of them who have difficulty with Kanji. Furthermore, the teacher thought that the learning Kanji in Japanese also affected the growth of Sino-Korean words ability in Korean, that it was important to make the learners to write the native japanese words in Kanji. Finally, about the instruction of Kanji by hand writing, it was presumed that the teacher thought it was the scope of his instruction that the learners could acquire the ability to write the discrimination or basic features of Kanji correctly.

While globalization advances, the education of language is essential. Current education of language makes students develop their communication skills. It is desirable to take immersion education in school life and bilingual education with target language for bilingual students, who are the parts of multilingual students, in order to keep them being fluent in both languages. However, there are various constrains, for example, time, facility system and so on to take such educations for every students. There are two kinds of language acquisition, those are the first language acquisition and the language acquisition. The biggest difference between both acquisition is that they acquire languages with nothing, or with native language. Even though they are each difference theory. I will combine multilingual theory here. Multilingual education theory, unlike bilingual, has one language that can be used with itself, two or more available ones. World this theory be optimal in the present age at which urge early foreign language? I analyzed the short-term Japanese school experience, focusing on elementary students living in international marriage between Korea and Japan family. Consequently, I expected that introducing flexible multilingual immersion education would be effective Japanese acquisition as the second language, than perfect bilingual education. Also, there would be another hint that will follow effective class.

This article is aimed at focusing on the proper use of synonyms, which are considered to be one of the most important factors for intermediate or above Japanese learners, and surveying how pairs of synonyms of Korean and Japanese adverbs of degree - `Gajang` and `Jeil` in Korean and `Mottomo` and `Ichiban` in Japanese - are utilized in Korean and Japanese newspaper articles. According to the results, `Gajang` and `Mottomo` are usually used as a literary style in a wide variety of genres, along with literary genres including politics and economy, whereas `Jeil` and `Ichiban` are frequently used as a colloquial style in ordinary genres including sports and entertainment. However, compared with `Gajang` and `Jeil` in Korean, `Mottomo` and `Ichiban` in Japanese are thought to be in huge conflict with each other as literary/official language and colloquial/everyday language.

This study is to investigate collocation with front verb using balanced corpus (BCCWJ) to clarify auxiliary verb usage and to help understanding of Japanese giving-and-receiving verbs. Using two different statistical indicators, I created a characteristic colocation of the giving-and-receiving verbs and a vocabulary list of the general collocation, respectively. As a result of investigating the three kinds of giving-and-receiving verbs and verbs co - occurring in the forward direction, it was confirmed that there was a difference in the properties of the auxiliary verb usage of each transfer expression. As a verb collocation that is characteristic of the giving-and-receiving verb, -te kureru can be said to most clearly express the speaker`s “desirability” feature. Also, -te morau tends to be used in conjunction with verbs that act against opponents in a direction favorable to the speaker. On the other hand, I can say that you prefer to use a verb that encourages the speaker to become a “preferred” situation for the opponent, contrary to -te morau as -te kureru. Next, in the general-purpose verb collocation, the top 30 verbs to be used in conjunction with -te ageru,-te moru and -te kureru were the basic verbs presented at the elementary level in Japanese learning. -te morau related to utterances such as “see見る”, “write書く”, “know知る” and the like, while -te kureru is a verb such as “explain說明する” “say言う” “answer答える” there were. From this, Japanese language grammar expresses the direction of the benefit centering on the speaker, and the behavior seen from the speaker by the co-occurrence use of the front verb, the action, the subjective subject of the speaker to the listener and the receiver it turned out to show the relationship. In addition, in Japanese language education, together with the traditional “Who to whom” direction of giving and receiving benefits, along with education of beneficiary orientation, we used both the frequently used vocabulary list summarized in this research and the characteristic vocabulary list, It is thought that learning effect will increase by teaching.

「tokoroところ」, formal noun in Japanese, is used in two kinds of forms of 「∼ところ+postposition」 (appears in sentence) and 「∼ところだ」 (appears in the end of sentence). When it is used as the form of 「∼ところ+postposition」, it expresses the meaning of range, situation, emphasis, scene, part, content and ground. According to postposition which comes after 「∼ところ」, it can be interpreted in many ways such as 「것 geot」, 「바 ba」, 「데 de」, 「참 cham」 and common noun, 「점 fact」, 「장면 scene」, 「구석 corner」 in Korean. When it is used as the form of 「∼ところだ∼tokoroda」, it basically expresses abstract, indefinite and certain time, scene, situation, part and content. In Korean, it can be interpreted in formal noun, 「것 geot」, 「참 cham」, 「뻔 ppeon」, 「중 jung」, and in common noun, 「길 way」, 「점 fact」, 「정도 extent」.

This research aims to analyze translation styles/strategies applied and vocabularies used, respectively, in Shimei Futabatei`s Aibiki (아이비키), the first Russian-to-Japanese translation in a style called gembun itchi - unification of spoken and written language - of Russian writer Ivan Turgenev`s short story The Tryst (Свидание), and in Uk Kim`s Milhoe (밀회), the Japanese-to-Korean translation of Futabatei`s Aibiki. First, Futabatei appeared to try hard to follow Turgenev`s original text as literally and faithfully as possible in his earlier translation of The Tryst, particularly in specific reference to punctuation marks and sentence endings in it. On the contrary, it was found that there appeared in Milhoe some evidence of Kim`s attempt at translating based on Futabatei`s earlier version, whereas the way of his translating sentence endings in it did not appear to be affected by Futabatei`s at all. Second, the fact that the degree to which Chinese words are used in both Futabatei`s first and revised translations remained considerably low compared to other contemporary types of (literary) translation, implicitly points to the translator`s conscious attempt to actualize the idea of gembun itchi. In his translation Kim replaced with Chinese words terms regarded not only as important in context but as unfamiliar or less in use. Further, given that in translating did he actively reflect English terms and expressions non-existent in Futabatei`s original text, this demonstrates how Kim made an effort to develope and maintain his own creative and unique translation style by actively harnessing and referring to the English as well as Japanese translations of the Russian original. Last, it is interesting that Aibiki in its earlier version used the Japanese word jibun (自分) in translating first-person pronouns, given that it was the period during which both Korea and Japan have not established the use of third-person pronouns in literature yet; which shows the then Korean and Japanese translators` struggle to translate address terms.

This study aims to analyze the political strategy of Yasukuni jinja in Kobayashi comics based on Roland Barthes` myth analysis model. For this purpose, the study focused on the cartoon strategy contained in Kobayashi comics. The results of the study are as follows: First, the three discourses which have been found in cartoons using the myth analysis model are 1) the problems of the Tokyo trial, 2) the consistent criticism on leftist forces in Japan, and 3) the function of Yasukuni as a public workship place. With these three discourses, the study draw the final myth that “Yasukuni worship is just”. Second, examining the strategic changes of conservative forces since the 1990s, the study focused on Kobayashi Yoshinori, a comic artist, who participated in a new national movement, or historiographical movement mobilizing scholars. It is concluded that Kobayashi contributed to popularization of the conservative logic of the young generation due to the fact that he targeted the younger generation, and he simplified the remuneration logic by using extreme dichotomy in the cartoon. This makes Kobayashi different from the conservative politicians. The study showed how the conservative logic of the Japanese superstructure evolves into the infrastructure of the Japanese masses, and Japanese cartoons through the mass media have been served, which makes Kobayashi`s research necessary.

The infamous pro-Japanese Chumkeum Park who had suppressed the Korean social movement, was elected as a member of Japanese Imperial Diet in 1932, 1940, and 1942. He is regarded as a nationalist in Japan who demanded to abolish the discrimination to Korean, such as removing restrictions on imports of the Korean rice, allowing the right to vote in Korea. He is also mentioned as a successful case of `colonial assimilation` at the times, and as a evidence of working institutional democracy under Japanese colonial empire in these days. His arguments, however, was for the Japanese settler community who had become the rich in colonial Korea or for the Korean rich people, not for the interests of Korean in general. The election of Park was due not to universal democracy, but due to strong support of interest group who exploited the loophole in general election. The fact that his electoral campaign was supported by the fund of the Japanese Government General of Korea who wants to advertise the success of colonization as well as the Japanese and Korean rich.

Japan was trying to inject into the textbooks` for the Taiwan by Korean children. The representations in the texts that form the basis of the recognition of Taiwan consciousness thinking is an important way of presenting colonized Korea. In the early colonial < Japanese Textbooks > Taiwan were introduced briefly, to incorporate outsiders Korea and Taiwan is a province of the Japanese were to have a sense of belonging to the Empire. < Geography textbooks > The section has me in earnest in Taiwan have emphasized that there was much direct contact with Taiwan than Japan, Korea. Taiwan has been described as the southern area of an unknown but substantial economic income area, Taiwan was highlighted as a leading hub in China and South Pacific rather than the role of providing labor and materials. But be careful because the expansion of the Japanese strategy was also discussed in details in the world such as Japan, Taiwan and importance of absolute position in East Asia. Korean children who will now face another representation of the Empire of Japan to be rediscovered Taiwan`s reflection in the textbooks.
