This paper studied a series of Christmas poems of Joseph Brodsky from various viewpoints, synchronically and diachronically. Brodsky wrote a series of poems related to Jesus` birth and Christmas every Christmas season. The poet didn`t intend it but the poems became a group of work because of their common themes, artistic techniques, similar vocabularies and rhythmic patterns. Brodsky`s Christmas poems are closely related with his inner world. Through the analysis of the texts, this paper found that atmosphere of Christmas poems greatly changed according to his inner state or external events such as exile or winning the Nobel Prize for literature. The poems that describe the Christmas season where Brodsky currently lives reveal the coldness, emptiness and materialism of an atheistic society where holiness, mystery, or expectation and hope for miracles are not present at all. In parallel with this, in the poems describing the story of Jesus` birth, the poet`s personal life is reflected. We got the conclusion that Brodsky`s Christmas poems are one of the metaphysical poems in which the themes of loss, feelings of alienation, loneliness, pain, sacrifice, death, salvation, and resurrection are all present. The series of works motivated by Christmas are the expression of the existential dilemma and agony of the poet living in the 20th century when it is becoming more and more difficult to live in a meaningful way and to uphold the basic dignity and value of human beings.

B. 아쿠닌의 희곡 『갈매기』(<신세계>, 2000. 4)와 『햄릿』(<신세계>, 2002. 6)은 체홉과 셰익스피어의 동명의 희곡을 리메이크 한 것으로, 원작에 대한 독특한 해석이자 `이어쓰기`이다.『갈매기』와 『햄릿』에는 아쿠닌 특유의 추리적인 슈제트 구성 능력과 역동적으로 사건을 전개하고 의외의 결말을 이끌어내며, 끊임없이 독자의 호기심을 불러일으키는 능숙한 솜씨가 엿보인다. 『갈매기』에서 아쿠닌은 트레플레프의 자살 모티브를 타살로 바꾸면서 원작과는 전혀 다른 슈제트 구성과 선명한 성격묘사를 보여준다. 이와는 달리 『햄릿』에서는 원작의 전체적인 내용과 윤곽을 살리고 지엽적인 에피소드만를 바꾸면서(클로디어스 왕의 자살, 비밀편지 바꿔치기 등) 햄릿 대신에 햄릿의 친구인 호레이쇼를 극의 중심인물로 만들고 있다. 경박하고 비이성적이며 술에 취한 햄릿 대신에 호레이쇼는 전체 살인을 기획하는 치밀하고 교활한 음모꾼, `인간본성의 연구자`로 등장한다. 아쿠닌은 고전을 리메이크하면서 작중 인물들의 성격을 단순화하고 때론 거칠고 때론 억지스럽게 슈제트를 구성하지만, 그 나름대로 원작의 정신을 이해하고 심화시키면서 살인, 욕망, 음모, 질투, 갈등, 간교함의 모티브를 통해 인간본성을 깊이 묘사-연구하고 있고, 새롭고 현실적인 내용과 현대 독자들의 경험에 호소하는 새로운 의미로 고전을 가득 채우고 있다. 이런 의미에서 아쿠닌은 체홉과 셰익스피어보다 더 멀리 나아가고 있다고 말할 수 있다. 아쿠닌의 문학적 기획(리메이크)은 상업적으로 성공하고 독자들의 인기를 얻었지만 비평가들로부터는 많은 비판(상업적 기획, 모방, 표절, 패스티쉬, 고전에 기생하여 피 빨아먹기 등)을 받았다. 그러나 아쿠닌의 문학적 기획은 지적이고 까다로운 현대 독자들의 미적 취향과 요구에 부응했고, 그들로 하여금 난해한 고전을 다시 읽도록 했음을 부인할 수 없다. 또한 그의 문학적 기획은 오늘날 러시아의 문학적 상황과 관련된 몇몇 중요한 문학과정(포스트모더니즘, 대중문학의 인기, 대중문학과 본격문학의 경계 상실, 하이퍼텍스트, 원 소스 멀티 유스, 인터넷 문화)을 여실히 보여주고 있다. 이런 점에서 아쿠닌의 문학적 기획은 다양한 관점에서 계속 진지하게 연구되어야 한다.

Literature : Discourse and genre in V. Sorokin`s work (by the example of the novel 『Blue fat』)

This article is devoted to one of the popular modern Russian novels-"The Blue Fat" by Vladimir Sorokin. The highlight of the article is the transformation of classical literature discourses and genres in the novel. According to V.L. Shunikov, the style of the novel explicates the author`s creative intension, that`s why the narrative analysis is all-important for its adequate interpretation. This part of the novel poetics has never been subjected to a thorough investigation within the frames of contemporary humanities before: the article is aimed at filling up the gap. The stylistic experiment in Sorokin`s novel is connected with the epistolary discourse and is based on its epistolary literary genres first of all. It shows the way of this discourse transformation and the internal world of the novel itself compared with the classical epistolary prose. For example, -as only one character writes the letters, there is not even a chance for intercommunication, therefore the dialogue becomes virtual. While reading the letters we discover Boris Gloger`s passion, strong and sexually brutal, instead of that consequential development of sense, idealistic and platonic, characteristic of sentimental novels. Gloger`s intentions are even more complicated-the epistolary features of the letters are combined with the diary style. V. Sorokin does not only change the epistolary narrative and genres, but also saves some of their important elements. Boris Gloger is similar to characters of the 19th century Russian epistolary novels: he is "bestown" with loneliness and lack of understanding by the others. The novel internal world is quite pretentious because many genres are mixed in Sorokin`s work, science fiction among them. The new reality after a nuclear catastrophe is depicted in geopolitical and ethno-cultural peculiarity, alongside with the biology of new "humans" and their linguistic competence. The most interesting phenomenon in Sorokin`s novel is deconstruction of epistolary style idioms in the character`s pidgin. It makes the language of the novel "crossword-like" and altogether difficult for reader`s perception. The novel transformation of the epistolary discourse refreshes the very strategy of this genre thus proving its vitality in the contemporary literature.

언어학 : 노래를 이용한 러시아어 교육방안 연구

The aim of this research was to try and seek new measures to revitalize Russian language lessons by introducing Russian songs in the classes. Songs are an effective foreign language educational tool, used to improve learner`s academic achievement and enhance motivation by increasing their interest and attention. We can expect to see educational advances in pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and the use of expressive language. It also expected that there is an added psychological effect when learning a new language in a relaxed and comfortable situation. The songs also have a cultural educational effect, by providing information about culture, art and society. The song used as a teaching material should be selected based on their topics. They should also be learning specific and categorized. In this study, the educational songs were seen as being an effective and efficient medium for use in Russian language lesson. The studies assessed the practical lessons where songs were used and found that to maximize learning effectiveness, a research plan should be used and lessons should be integrated, students from one class to the next. Many Russian researchers are expected to develop a variety of instructional classes using active measures.

Linguistics : Functional perspective in passive constructions

The subject of this article is functional perspective in passive constructions (PC). Under a passive construction we mean a polypropositional sentence, which expresses the object`s condition because of the subject`s activities. The first part of the article contains a survey of the main theoretical principles. The second and the third ones are dedicated to the compositional special features and to the correlation between communicative and grammar structures of a PC-sentence. The analysis showed us that in the absolute beginning of a descriptive text (in the middle and at the end of a paragraph) a PC-sentence can be divided into three (not two-Theme and Rheme) semantic compositional parts: the one, which connects the sentence with the previous context, the part, which expresses the specific information of the sentence, and the third part, which expresses the development of the authors` idea and connects the sentence with the right context. The analysis also showed us that in the absolute beginning of a narrative text a PC-sentence consists of two parts only: the first one connects the sentence with the left context, and the second one expresses the logical development of an idea. In such a context we can read about the object of speech and the stages of its creation. The functions of all the semantic compositional parts of a sentence can fully or partly coincide. Any word of a sentence can get into one of these compositional parts. The order of the parts and the order of the words inside them depend on the context and the communicative intentions of a speaker. These semantic compositional parts are usually syntagmas, and the movement of an intonation inside them depends on the system of semantic oppositions with another components of the context.
