문학 : 존재의 의미: 『안나 카레니나』 8부 재조명

The eighth and final part of Anna Karenina has been regarded idiosyncratic for the absence of the heroine and its heavily philosophical treatment of Levin`s contemplations. Moreover, the anti-war sentiment toward the Russo-Turkish war ignited a heated discussion upon its publication. Against the background of these reservations, this paper aims at defending Part Eight by examining its critical role in the novel. Part Eight is not devoid of the eponymous heroine as her presence is as powerful as before, given the impact of her memory on Vronsky. Her legacy as the revengeful judge is finalized and hereby Anna`s opposition to Levin is also finalized. Their contrast stands out in Levin`s interior monologue, a counterpart to Anna`s in Part Seven. Levin`s monologue spells out what drives Anna to self-destruction, while Levin survives the tormenting doubts about life. Unlike Anna, Levin does not fall prey to the "swindling of reason." Along this line, the theme of war serves as a platform to disclose the hypocrisy pervasive in the society. In the end, it is significant that the final part of the novel ends in Levin`s "family happiness," embracing individual, social and family dimensions, and thereby marking an appropriate finale to the novel dealing with happy as well as unhappy families.

It has been explained that Chekhov`s drama Ivanov focus on the theme of the ``Superfluous man`` in Russian literary tradition. According to this explanation, Ivanov, a hero of this drama is a typical image who is suffering from social problems and romantic passion in the context of Russian 19-th century. But the meaning of the superfluous man can be approached from a different standpoint, such as cultural semiotics. This article aims to show that the drama Ivanov is a sort of semiotic space, in which every character has a common view of the world (Weltbild), so-called ``Romantic world``. They are sure that they know the truth of the world, but turned out to be marionettes who only follow the conventional codes (signs). As a result, this world is represented as a role-playing game or totally dramatized fake-reality. In this point, we are interested in the act of Ivanov who realized that nobody could be escaped from the invented reality without decisive action. This is why Ivanov committed suicide in a moment of happiness in his life. In this sense, we consider Chekhov`s Ivanov as a symbolic text of the transformation from ideal-romanticism of 19-th centuries to another type of sensitivity.

Literature : Notes to studying of a role of a photo in creation of a Literary image

In creation of a literary image not last role is played by a photo. Both art, and the documentary photo becomes rather curious element in formation of a personal and creative portrait of this or that writer, getting new, at times absolutely unexpected for the object of similar shooting, value. Sometimes photos serve a problem of development or consolidation of a personal myth (it the writer or its close people, frequently already after its death can cultivate; further such pictures acquire the certain myths having few general with the validity). Culture visualisation in first half of XX-th century has entailed also certain shifts in a choice of means of vital actualisation of creative shape of artists. The place and value of the facsimile in such conditions increases and gets rather various forms.

언어학 : 븨고츠키 심리학 이론의 언어학적 전망

The paper has two goals: one is to examine Vygotsky`s linguistic psychology from his whole theoretical framework, the other is to construct a new linguistic horizon from this examination. I think one of the most important theoretical contributions he made is the concept of sign-mediation, especially that of language-mediation in the growth process of mind which is well developed and demonstrated by main research themes in his Thought and Language(1934). Theoretical results of his experimental research on such a concept argue that linguistic competence is not determinated only by its innate structure but also by its complex developmental process synthesized with higher mental functions like thought, memory, imagination. By this is proved clearly that the contemporary cognitive theory based on the hypothetical concept of universal - innately determinated, thus static - linguistic competence and its language acquisition model must be necessarily modified by accepting such a developmental, dynamic concept. Vygotsky`s another interesting linguistic contribution is the distinction between meaning (значение) and sense (смысл) of the word; the former is relatively invariant, whereas the latter presents variable, dynamic character and permanent tendency toward a kind of open polysemy. But in so far as the predominance of sense over meaning is an undeniable empirical fact on the level of utterance, a realistic linguistic semantics must take it into a serious consideration theoretically.

작가나 시인은 문학적 언어의 표현수단을 연구하며 작품을 창작하는 과정에서 새로운 단어를 만들어내곤 한다. 이렇게 새로 만들어진 요소를 지칭하는 용어가 여러 가지 있는데, 그 중에서 연구가 가장 많이 되어있으며 본 논문에서도 사용되는 '우발적 단어окказионализм'라는 용어가 있다. 임의의 한 작가의 개인 문체를 이해할 수 있게 해준다거나 그의 작품의 의도를 알아차릴 수 있게 해준다는 것뿐만 아니라, 일반 언어의 체계에서 새로운 단어가 발생하는 하나의 과정을 보여준다는 것에서 작가의 우발적 단어에 대한 연구는 매우 현실성이 있는 연구라 하겠다. 본 연구에서 다루는 우발적 단어 "выживленец"는 알렉산드르 카바코프가 "Всё поправимо: хроники частной жизни '모든 것은 회복(교정)될 수 있다: 개인의 삶의 기록(사생활사)'"에서 처음으로 사용한 단어이다. 이 우발적 단어의 특이섬은 영어의 ‘생존자 survivor’에서 기인된 것이라는 것이 다. 그러므로 이 단어는 바르후다로프가 사용한 용어 «'우발적 번역동의어 окказиональный переводческий эквивалент'»에 해당한다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 ‘관습적인 узуальный’과 ‘우발적인окказиональный’, ‘신조어неологизм’와 ‘우발적 단어’의 상관관계에서 이론적인 문제를 살펴보고 우발적 단어 « выживленец »를 의미구조적인 측면에서 분석한다. 이 분석은 의미론적인 측면에서 이루어지며 의미소와 문맥적인 관계를 살피고, 사전적 의미와 조어적인 측면, 기능문법적인 측면에서도 진행한다. 다양한 문맥에서 사용된 동기어들을 분석하며 이 단어를 연구한다. 우발적 단어의 의미구조 연구는 문학작품의 문체적 분석을 배제하고는 진행할 수 없다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 이 우발적인 단어가 사용된 카바코프의 문학작품의 문체 또한 자세히 살펴본다. 결론부분에서는 연구대상 문학작품 내에서의 본 우발적 단어 « выживленец » 의 생성과 이 단어의 사용에 대한 합목적성에 대해 언급한다.
