한국어 학습자의 쓰기 수행 능력 연구 -대학 입학 전의 중국인 학습자를 중심으로

This study aims to analyze the problems of pre-university Chinese students writing ability which produces Korean literal text and to search the resolutions. In the KSL education for general purpose, there has been almost no specific writing process education but teachers just have taught the vocabularies and grammars for improving the writing ability. We evaluated the 24 texts written by Chinese students for final writing exam at a Language institute belonged to a university in 2011 autumn. We applied the rubric with 3 criteria: structure, content, style and 4 scales. Especially we divided the criteria of style into 20 sub items to make the list of coherence errors according to the difficulty degrees. As a result, we found that the Chinese learners achieved a quite high style(75%) and content(68%) knowledge compared to the literal structure(56%) knowledge. However the correlation between the general essay score and the 3 evaluating categories shows the opposite order. That is, the structure knowledge shows .70, content .63, style .58 of a correlation coefficient with the general score. Therefore we should enforce the curriculum of writing process for producing the academic writing text which is well equipped with the logical and syntactical coherence knowledge. (Yonsei University)

The goal of this study is to present a study on the project-based Learning thorough UCC production in Korean Language Education. Project work is based on the learner-centered education. Learners can communicate through integrated Language skill built for interaction. Project work can be presented as newspaper, magazine, report, UCC videos and etc. Making UCC videos can be a medium that can motivate and lead participation to the learners who are familiar with multimedia. Therefore, the present paper suggests the instruction model with UCC production in the project work that can be used in Korean Language Education. The instruction model proposes the process of the project work in the company with the levels of UCC production. It is expected that the effect of Language Learning and affective domain of learners` education can be presented through this instruction model. (Sangmyung University)

미국인 학습자의 한국어 습득과 인지,심리적 제약

This study investigates how learners` cognitive and psychological factors affect acquisition of Korean Language. 24 advanced learners participated in the experiment which measures learner`s individual variables such as grammatical judgement ability, proficiency, Language aptitude, working memory, motivation, and anxiety. The variables were analyzed to explain what factors affect individual learners to make variations of grammar acquisition. Grammaticality judgement test reflects general proficiency and also relates to acquisition of individual grammatical items. Working memory and sound discrimination that is a component of Language aptitude showed correlation with 84% of the grammatical categories measured. However, the influence of psychological factor, motivation or anxiety, was yielded up to be limited or indirect on acquisition. A multiple regression analysis was conducted to develop predictive model for the scores of grammaticality judgement test over the variables that were working memory, sound discrimination, integrative motivation, Language analysis. The predictive model can explain development of acquisition according to learners` individual characteristics and also predict factors which interfere with learners` Language acquisition. 19세기 말의 한국어 학습서 연구

This paper reviewed the contents and organizations of 9 different Korean Learning materials published during the end of the 19th century, which includes ``Corean Primer(1877)`` and ``Siryong Haneohak(實用韓語學, 1902)``. This review covers the function of grammar section, the way of presenting translations, contents and organization of the text, and interlocutors in dialogue sections. The followings are the characteristics of the above materials revealed by the review. First of all, Korean Learning materials were composed of presenting useful sentences focusing on grammar structures rather than having a central function as a foreign Language Learning textbooks. Secondly, the grammar section had been more strengthened in Korean Learning materials. Thirdly, contents of conversations are usually organized based on topics but coherence based on topics were very low. Fourthly, most of the materials presented translations for Korean conversations. Lastly, interlocutors of dialogue sections or expected counterparts of given sentences were mostly from the same social group or the lower status. (Korea University)

This paper aims to seek for how Literature plays a role as the information sources to communicate critically in multicultural societies to readers. The people who are living in Korea are composed of mainstream Korean members and the members with multicutural backgrounds. It is necessary for every member to inspect themselves critically, to see other members with careful concern and to speak to one another with open minds. This is called critical communication. To communicate critically, the members should know how other members live, work, and think, etc. That is, they must get the information of those people. Literature can be a very good material for this purpose. That is because Literature reflects the real world with artistic forms, so makes the readers get the information of multicultural societies more naturally. The short stories of 「Saeggiya Supermarket」from Sibaek Lee, 「Night there, Songs here」from Aeran Kim and the poems 「Chebul(a delay in payment)」``, 「Daemulim(inheritance)」, 「 Hangook Ai(A Korean child)」and 「Samchoneun beorigo ogo, chokaneun derigo ogo(The uncle leaving her there, the nephew taking her home)」from Jongo Ha were selected and analysed to show which information the readers can get from the Literature.

한국어 학습자의 구어에 나타난 담화표지 "그냥"

본 연구는 중국인 이주노동자의 구어 담화에 나타난 담화표지 ``그냥``의 사용과 발달 양상을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 한국 어 능력에 따라 상(5), 중(11), 하(12)의 세 그룹으로 나뉜 28명의 중국인 이 주노동자와 다섯 명의 상급 중국 유학생과의 인터뷰를 통해 구어 담화를 채집하고 이들의 발화에 나타난 담화표지 ``그냥``의 기능과 의미를 분석하 였다. 또한 원어민 비교 자료로 세종말뭉치 중 일상대화 부분을 선택하여 54,467단어의 말뭉치를 만들었다 ``그냥``의 기능은 이정애(2002), 박혜선 (2012), 심란희(2011), 그리고 Maschler(1994, 2009)를 참고하여 여덟 범주로 분류하였다. 이주노동자들은 한국어 능력이 중급에 도달하기 전까지는 ``그냥``을 사용하 지 못하였다. 고급단계의 학습자들은 중급 학습자에 비해 채우기 기능의 ``그냥``은 적게 사용하고 상호작용을 돕는 ``그냥``을 더 많이 사용하여 언어 발달 단계에 따라 ``그냥``의 기능이 인지기능에서 상호작용기능으로 발달함 을 보였다. 한국 거주 기간이 82개월인 고급단계 이주노동자에 비해 거주 기간이 42개월인 유학생이 좀 더 유창하게 ``그냥``을 사용함을 볼 때 비교 수(untutored) 언어습득의 한계를 엿볼 수 있다. 한국인 화자와 중국인 학습 자의 자료에 나타난 ``그냥``의 분포의 차이는 자료 수집의 방법과 관련되었 을 수도 있다. 따라서 추후 연구에서는 인터뷰가 아닌 자유대화와 같은 다 양한 자료 수집을 통해 담화표지의 사용 양상을 살펴볼 필요가 있을 것이 다.

This study aims to make a microscopic description of the way Korean Language learners make contents to construct one consistent story discourse following given task conditions and formalize the contents into target Language discourse by focusing on the Chinese learners` verbal utterance induced by a story-making task. Given the task condition in which only partial information is available in image which constructs the story contents, learners should understand individual image contents and utter them into target Language. Moreover, they should organize such utterances in discourse so that they can be connected into consistent contents. As such discourse construction is realized in the frame of discourse formation and contents creation restricted by task condition, it is noticeable that it can show an aspect of variation in learner`s Language which takes specific task condition as a variable. In this light, the present study aims to observe how the conditions involved in designing and executing the story-making tasks get interpreted by learners to form the basis of oral production, and define the components that make the learner`s style of oral production which are unique to the story-making task. It is seen that learners interpret the story-making task as ``a task of speaking the content of the story in a consistent and complete form in defined conditions``. Therefore, the inference on background information from the perspective of the content structure and the cohesive connection of short sentences based on conjunctive adverbs from the perspective of the microscopic discourse structure turn out to be principal components that constitute the style of production in a story-making task. 스페인어 담화 관련 정보 구조에 대한 구조적 교육의 필요성

This study argues the necessity of information structure education in developing communicative competence. Since information structure is concerned with the form of utterances in relation to communicative needs of speakers and hearers, the appropriate uses of information structure help to achieve effective communication. Therefore, this paper focuses on the structural role of various phenomenon related to discourse and information structure in Spanish. And I propose that it is necessary to understand and recognize structural operations that trigger discourse-related effects in second Language Learning of Spanish, accounting for cross-linguistic variation, in particular in Korean and English. This paper offers dislocation and fronting phenomenon, word order alternations and emphatic polarity items` using in Spanish, which entails the components included in information structure-topic, focus, emphasis, etc. And I suggest that it is useful to understand the relationship between structural analysis and discourse for explaining discourse-related structural operations. 반의관계를 이용한 한국어 교육 방안

This study aims to suggest Korean teaching methods using antonymy. To attain the goal, this paper examines how antonymy is used in existing Korean textbooks beforehand and then suggests a teaching method to provide the list of antonyms along with their semantic functions and sentence patterns using them. Existing Korean textbooks use antonyms in three aspects: providing word pairs, providing antonymic pairs for the target sentence pattern, and using antonymy with examples. However, antonymy has not been used actively and systematically compared with the easiness of its recognition and their importance of use. This study insists that in order to use antonymy variously and systematically, not only to provide and teach antonyms but also to suggest their semantic functions in sentences and sentence patterns showing typical antonymic construction are needed so that the learners can acquire the semantic functions which antonymy constructs. Moreover, it emphasizes that it is needed to suggest the list of antonymic words and show the antonymy of related words in the textbook within the semantic field of the identical sequence. With this method, Korean learners not only can acquire antonymic words but can acquire the ways to use them properly as well. Through follow-up researches on the semantic functions of sequential relationships such as antonymy and also synonymy and hypernymy, it is expected to suggest various methods to enhance Korean learners` ability to use Korean.

외국인 학습자 개별 학습을 위한 한국어 어휘의미망 사전 개발 방안

The purpose of this study is to develop Korean semantic network dictionary for foreign students. The result of this study will focus on individual study where learners are able to find the meaning of the vocabulary to understand and practice without the help of the teachers. In many cases, when introduced to new vocabulary learners rely on bilingual dictionaries. Current bilingual dictionaries present diverse meanings and examples; however the fact is the meta-Languages and examples given requires higher level than what the learner`s can comprehend. In order to supplement the bilingual dictionaries shortcoming, the study suggests development of Korean dictionary incorporating semantic network, corpus, and advantages of the bilingual dictionary. Based on WordNet and Kornet, the study utilizes the vocabulary meaning from bilingual dictionary and foreign learner corpus data to develop semantic network dictionary to help leaner`s individual study. This study aims to explore educational gradation of Korean vocabulary meaning particularly for L2 learners. The study focuses on the polysemous verbs with the features related to the semantic expansion based on the L2 learners` intellectual abilities, thereby presents a need to set the standards for educational gradation of Korean vocabulary meaning. The result has a great significance for the Korean vocabulary education on the basis of L2 learners` abilities. The meanings of each polysemy are presented based on the frequency of meaning dictionary and the corpus data is also employed for the purpose of the analysis on the semantic expansion.
