Pixar animation storytelling has been using freely strategy to secure popularity as well as story value, activating enjoyment to embody `the maximum of enjoyable creative imagination. Storytelling, which means the strategic structure to control creatively enjoyer`s experience and its practice, consists of story, telling, and enjoyment. This combination has the characteristic, which is called over determination, collecting the identity, and intention of animation, characteristics by subordinate genre, media to embody with, and target enjoyer. This study is focused on the character among many elements of Pixar animation storytelling. Because the character is main concept, united with plot, time, and place, and it is such of important element which reflects directly the property of animation industry. At this article the character is divided into 1) `embodied elements` called character feature, 2) `correlative elements` uniting each embodied elements in narrative structure, 3) `appeal elements` which draws enjoyers from out of text into the text. And character strategy is examined from the integrated point of view based on 1) and 2). Pixar animation storytelling has secured the visible distinction such as flexible characteristic place and the stable structure of 3 acts, adhering strategically relative discrimination against Disney. Above all things Pixar, aiming at `funimation`, has its own strategy, strengthening character to secure storytelling with good quality. The storytelling strategy of Pixar animation is shown by following elements. 1) the story of growth by `self-examination`, 2) building the relationship of main character and sub characters in the isotopie, 3) securing the main character`s dimension by activating character wheel, 4) deepening the theme by a set pattern of aim-need-desire, 5) multi theme by strengthening sub characters.
