A vehicle of education and a means of obtaining information about the world, reading has long been considered central activity of our society. The view that reading offers one of the best ways to obtain wisdom about life is a specially modern one: Print media. habit of reading, and valorization of literature are product of modern culture. The place of reading in modern society, however, grows less assured as the society itself becomes more complex. In an age that has announced the "death of literature" and "the crisis of the humanities", what does it mean to read? According to Marshall McLuhan, human history can be broadly divided into oral age and literal age. One might add at third term to describe human history in the letter half of the 20th century: digital age. What will become of the culture of reading in an age of electronics? Can literature. whose fate in the modern era has been inextricably bound up with the rise of print culture, survive the onset of the internet? Reading of literature does not simply mean the acquirement of knowledge and information. It is a metaphysical process: buried in the world of books. The reader engages in flights of imagination, encounters alternate realities and other strange worlds. The development of electronic has made our society at once narrower, easier. and more complicated. Life in this society of speed and stimuli requires immediacy of response to daily encounters. The deluge of information. available through electronic media such as television. internet. fax. e-mail. as well as print media such as books. newspaper. magazines. makes the process of sifting that much more strenuous. Reading in this environment often means skimming for information. While one is struggling to keep abreast with data processing. the long hallowed philosophical tradition of "searching for the truth" will necessarily be relegated to the backseat. To interrogate the place of reading at present is. and the humanities in our society of informatics

Many of adults got be interested in reading picture books while they are reading for their children. For picture books, kindorgartener teachers. school teachers and baby sitters usually get them to cooperate with children they care of. They usually go to workshop or seminal about picture books, mot only by reading them to became a writer. For children books, people think it seems to be easy, but it includes lots of meaningful contents. Children and adults live together. That`s why it shows us various characters and indicates us what life goes on. What is the most efficient things while reading children`s books? Children and adults can be situated in same level with same thoughts which mean they can make an one happy family. To be with a book, it can be a pleasure. Johan Huizinga prescribes there are three things about `play`. Firstly. it has to be done spontaneously and it isn`t usual or factual thing. That`s what Kant said with a word, `Disinterestedness`. Finally, the place which `play` occurred is separated and it also has time limits. After `play` is over. people are in `play` situation should be back to the situation when they`re placed. Regarding all these things. it`s not that easy for adults to join in children`s world. But more and more people like to read children`s books to be a writer of picture books. In this time, there are still lack of programs for people to know more about children`s books. I hope there should be many of special programs for them in addition to cultural institutions and education facilities.

They can be characterized by continuity to get out of the one-sidedness, temporariness of the traditional literary event. The new literary event as a complex cultural event, the museum for literature, and the new literary communication space by the internet are the cases for them. For the purpose of substantial result of the trials, they have to prepare the qualitative dimension which can offer deep cultural experiences and the new contents which correspond to the new literary communication form.

This thesis intends to know the cause that the women writers` Bildungsroamans attain the reader`s positive response. and to make clear the function and meaning of these works as the text of life and the text of literature. Park Wan Seo`s `Who Ate That Many Sing-a` and Kong Gi Young`s `Sister Bong Soon` are the autobiographic novels and deal with the woman`s growth and maturity. Being introduced in the television book program, these books become best-selling. They also reflect the ordinary people`s taste and cultural phenomenon. the revival of the past, in these days. First. these novels are popular, because they show how the female becomes the subject of the narrative and writing persuasively. `I` listen mother`s/sister`s ancient story, and read the fairy tales. After these stages. `orality-listening` and then `literacy-reading`. `I` step toward the stage of writing. That is, in these two works. the `orality` of mother and sister meets with my `literacy`. and we can say this happy meeting is based on the sympathy and mutual understanding between women. In addition to. she-writer speaks about her-character, and talks to her-reader. Because of the identification of experience and emotion based on the same gender identity. these works can read by many readers. In addition to, the women under the patriarchal society have numerous stories about their suppressive lives. Because of this situation, the writer and reader who have the same gender identity can understand each other. Second, these novels function as the text of life and the cultural text. because they restore the pre-modern/modern institution. civilization and customs. Specially. the restoration of the past is realized by the sense of sight and taste. This particular sensuous representation expresses the period before the self identity isn`t destroyed. And it calls by the reader sentimentally. The subject of writing and the subject who experiences and reflects the crisis of modernity is the woman. In addition to, the restored past by two writers is not the ancient and exotic `there` but the moderr. and (post)colonial `here`. So these works earn the attraction and sympathy of the reader.

The presupposition of this study is that poetry is a kind of linguistic art and the criterion of a good poem is based on the monism of from and substance. And `linguistic` means that a poem is connected with a person`s life through the language. However in korean modern poetical history this humanistic concept of poetry has encoded the author centrism. But as is generally known. in this century the author centrism has been decoded by the reader centrism in world history of literature. Accordingly we have to re-code the concept of reading poetry to the critical dialogue between authors. And the voluntary experience of filling up gaps with the dialogue is very joyful. But in the post-modern point of view, ultimately a reader isn`t a author but a reader. Because the voluntary reading of a reader isn`t writing but reading. Although a reader makes the meaning of a text, he doesn`t make the text itself. But a reader always wants to grasp completely a text. He desires to take part in a text as an author. But as long as a person is reading. he is a reader. So we convert the substance of literature education: from the impression and exception of texts into the experience of writing texts virtually. In conclusion, making poets is the ultimate aim of literature education. Not to analyze a text as a reader but to create a text as an author is the way of the best realization of one`s linguistic ability.

This study is on the principle and method of constructivist leaner-centered literature education, on the basis of Literaturewissenschaft and constructivist psychology. The Literaturewissenschaft was born in Germany in the mid 1980`s and introduced in Korea in the mid 1990`s. The constructivist psychology became the basic theory of education on the whole scale. The basic direction of constructivist literature education depends on Literaturewissenschaft hypothesis that the reader `recognizes` the text, constructs `Kommunikat` and `constructs` the meaning through the process of communication among social members. So the essence of constructivist learner-centered literature education lies on the lerner`s learning. What to learn and how to learn are decided within the range of Literaturewissenschaft. And the general principle and method rely on constructivism, which was the basic theory of Literaturewissenschaft and the present teaching-learning theoretical root. Therefore. the practice of constructivist learner-centered literature education should focus on the knowledgable constructivism. pursuing `how` not the objective viewpoint of knowledge, pursuing `what` and `how`. And then the viewpoint of knowledge is changed. the procedure and method necessary for the understanding and appreciation of the literary works is learned. And the cognitive model able to understand and appreciate the literary works is constructed, accordingly the viewpoint of learning, teaching and evaluation is changed by turns like domino game. The procedure and method of teaching-learning is made as two steps: 1)the individual learner`s cognitive process of the text: the modeling step. which shows the concrete individual strategy of the text processing by teachers, the scaffolding step, which enables learners to follow the modeling and the fading step, which reduces the teacher`s assistance for the learner to solve the problem themselves. 2)the process of communication that uses the cooperative learning as the essential tool of constructivism makes members of society produce the socially acknowledged meaning through Kommunikat created by the individual learner`s cognitive process.
