So we have tried to keep their innocent world or taught them through folktales for children in school. This situation has brought some big problem. One is to make our children dislike folktales so that they don`t learn and experience imaginely human nature, our life and our world through folktales. The other is that our children don`t have basic grammer for enjoying literature for their all life. Because folktales have a basic grammer to sing, read and write literature. This paper aims to make clear these problem and prepare the method of solving these problem. This essay handles two problems. First one is that what is to be considered for the living of the literature of children. Second one is how the living of the literature of children is appeared in the textbook. Both the way of `attitude` in the school curriculum of Korean and the way of the living for the literature of children are not well appeared in the textbook. The first problem is that there is no "viewpoint". For this reason, the aims, method, and evaluation of education are not prepared. The second problem is that the theory for the living of the literature of the children is not established. For this reason, discussion for the literature of the children is not specific, only abstract. The methodology of the literature of the children needs to be constituted as it can be used actually in the course of teaching and learning. The most important things are that it is need to know about the characteristics of the children and that what will be fit for the education contents of the children.

Performance is concerned about all aspects of the communicative act between human beings. Especially, oral performance is considered as one of ways of literature enjoyment because it uses the traits of oral language and the action related with it, and because it could realizes dramatic communication. The traits of oral language inclide pitch, loudness, length, speed, continuation, timbre, pause of speech. Oral performance focuses on speaking. Speaking is the beginning of children`s subjective activity of language, though listening comes before speaking. With speaking children experience enjoying literature. Oral performance is the integrative language activity in that it includes the literature enjoyment through reading and writing. The literature enjoyment through oral performance consists of `reading aloud`, `story telling` and `recitation`. Reading aloud is reading as speaking. Reading aloud properly requires, first, to analyze the traits of written text according to the stream of emotion, and second, to search for how to structure the emotion. Story telling is making story and speaking it dramatically. Story telling needs strategies which emphasize the turnning or reversing points of events in the story. Recitation exaggerates oral language, speaking it like a song. Exaggerated oral language can carry emotion to audiences effectively, attracting them to reciters.

Korean juvenile literature is characterized by its combination with the children`s movement. It is a phenomenon that has been unparalleled in other countries. Most of the first generation of Korean juvenile literature can be said to have been the leaders of the children`s movement, the second generation has grown up mostly with the children`s movement. Korean juvenile literature was developed as a part of the national movement. This is why the trend of emphasizing enlightenment and reality occurred. It resulted in an imbalance that leaned towards creating a realistic fiction rather than creating a fairy tale or a fantasy. There has been a need for reflective discussion but there has never been enough. The research on Korean juvenile literature is low in quality compared to other general literature. The proof is the fact that the representative masterpieces of Korean juvenile literature are hardly outstanding. The activities of Lee Won-Soo and Lee Oh-Duk in criticism and Lee Jae-Chol in research have been getting attention. Whether it is due to criticism or research, the efforts have born fruit steadily in the literature aimed at the movement based on conscience and sense of mission. It is thinkable that the situation of the research aspect would be improved if the subject of juvenile literature could be established in the curriculum of the universities that train teachers for kindergarten and elementary school.

This thesis intends to show the right way of reading instruction and suggest a solution to the problem of group exclusion by critically analyzing Korean stories for children, "My pal Choi Young-dae", "Weird guy", and "Yang-clan`s outcast diary". Chae In-sun`s "My pal Choi Young-dae" loses vividness of narration because of the character and the collectivism which show typical features of exclusion and deliberate solution of group `weeping`, and it`s way of settlement is abstract, Nam Chan-sook`s "Weird guy" deals with group exclusion based on parents` overprotectiveness and interference, teachers` indifference, problem of power structure inside a school, and problem with opposite sex in a growth period, and it shows excellence in describing the psychology of those who are in a growth period. Moon Sun`s "Yang-clan`s outcast diary" shows a story of a person who suffers moral complication during formation of exclusive, dependent relationship by focusing on peer-group which is common among teenaged girl students, and it suggests advance to ideal self-formation be possible through being influenced by positive adult model. In this kind of stories for children, we may perceive identification than critical distance because they take the material from the reality which are surrounding children. Therefore, these stories for children need to be read with "resistant reading" which makes students be able to examine probability and find the gaps through extension of experiences, and to think actively about the way to settle down the problematic phase.
