There had been berren period in Buddhist literature since the beginning of Cho-sun dynasty. There was no collection of works. But many collections came up, starting the middle of Cho-sun dynasty. And there were two persons, Cheongheohyujeong and Buhyuseonsu who were the support of a religious tradition. There is not much of study about Buhyu, even though he left a lot of poems. This paper aims to look over his poems. There are 337 pieces of poetry in 《Buhyudangdaesajip》. Among them, most seems to be written for giving to a trainee or responding to the monks and the layperson, not for expressing personal sentiment. Famous and leading monks such as Cheongheohyujeong, Samyeongyujeong, Jewolgyeongheon participated in historical fields to tided over a difficult situation. But Buhyu went the other line. He succeeded the tradition of disciplinants and tried to attain the high state of So¨n(禪). He didn`t make distinguished achievement like Cheongheohyujeong and Samyeongyjeong in history, but he had a good influence over the people in silence. His poems show his character. He is the one who expressed the nature of reality without special rhetoric.

This is a study on < Won-ga >, a native song of our country. This song was written by Shin Chung. He wrote this song resenting King Hyo-seong who broke the vow. This song describes Shin who later became a monk and built a temple named Dan-sok-sa. The title of the story is Shin-chung-gwe-gwan and Won-ga belongs to it. The former part of this song is the background story of Won-ga and the latter part deals with Lee Soon. In other words, the song was written by Shin Chung and Dan-sok-sa was established by Lee Soon. King Gyeong-duk described in Sam-guk-sa-gi (historical record about three kingdom) was presented as an evidence. There is a suggestion that Shin-chung-gwe-gwan is not involved in only one person, Shin Chung. This study intended to illuminate the suggestion. And it dealt with the content of Won-ga, and the form and outline of the song.

He made the most excellent works which was and is now evaluated. Especially because of having many abilities to make Korean-Siga, He made a masterpiece works. His works were highly received a public praise. Such a public praise was just a impressive criticism but it was that Excellence in his works had an realization in language which was well used in works. Also his works had a literary type by putting many native languages in good place, making the span between the reader and his works narrow. Through this study I see that his larges special character is that the duality of deviation and harmonization consistently operated in all his works, especially Shijo and life force is put in all works by his literary creative ability by breaking a general form into a unfamiliar thing familiar changing devices. Through it this study make the destruction and re-creation of words and form clear.

Hoewa Yun Yang-rae is a politician and poet in the end of Chosun dynasty. He had been through many high governmental positions for nearly 40 years. In his four year exile period in the middle of his glorious governmental positions he produced the numerous Korean poetry and Chinese poetry. Interestingly, his works during the exile period brought a contrasting aspect from the previous style of the exile literature in that he was able to see the true reality; The glorious world he used to live as a governmental bureaucrat was a vanity and the new world he faced in the exiled place was an heaven because he though the fullness and the emptiness could cross over each other in life. Furthermore, after the exile he was able to go back to the previous world with the clean mind and reborn as a great governor for people, After all, his life reflects the self?realization of the truth and the practice of it through his exile life and literature.

In the chapter I, Because the existing study concentrate on dealing with ideal, religious and literary aspect, So it obviously could not explain the characteristic of Maewoldang`s poetry. The impartiality is not passive concept, which means right state, various situation and condition is not partial, but active concept to accomplish the best state. It plays an important part, which explain the tensed relation that is generated by Maewoldang unexpected adversity between ego and reality. It makes a precondition to clear the poetic characteristic of Maewoldang. In chapter Ⅱ, What conception of literature of Maewoldang makes a full use without bounding formality and social rules shows. And as he said in learning poet, It define that The final goal of making a poem is enter the porch with comprehending the `curious presence[妙處]`. And To accomplish it can be possible with understanding by their effort on the assumption with impartiality. In chapter Ⅲ, I intend that realization like a god and consensus with nature which are represented in Maewoldangs works and poetic motive of curious realizing[妙悟] which is appear by impartiality projected on tea are due to effect of impartiality. Sooner or later, I thank that I will able to define that his literary characteristic is seeking the positive attitude of order and harmony at the between the Middle and the righteousness. But in this study, I dont consider that I achieve efficient access about his huge and variety world of poetry only with limited works. Only I would like to point trying new start of his world of poetry. In the future, the concentrative and careful inspection will be required to understand poetry world of Maewoldang. This is a study on a collection of songs named Hun-hwa-ga. It mainly examined a status of the writer and a symbolic meaning of a flower named Chuk-chok-hwa. Il-yeon, a monk, collected poems and published them in a book titled Hun-hwa-ga. Therefore, this study connected the two subjects with buddhism. So far, the writer has been considered as a Taoist, a hermit a monk or Buddha. This study considered the writer as Buddha as it is believed that humans are not able to pick flowers on the cliff. And Il-yeon is not a hermit or Taoist as he is a Buddhist. So, Gyeon-woo-no-ong was thought as Buddha. The flower on the cliff is such a lolly world that anyone can not approach. The world is the land of happiness and peace without suffering which was pursued by Silla people.

Jeong-In-ji(1396~1478) lived in the historical turning point that a new Confucian culture was really created on the ground of introspection of Buddhistic one. He had a confucian didactic view point of poetry and led the creation of Yong-bi-eo-cheon-ga(The Song of Six Dragons Rising in the Sky) which is appraised as `it mirrors the ideas not only of the new government Yi dynasty but also of the entire people.` And he also took the leadership in writing Go-ryeo-sa(The History of Go-ryeo Dynasty). In the music chapter of the book, Jeong-In-ji maintained firmly Chu-hsi(1130-1200)`s poetic view which was expressed in the comments of Shih-ching. Jeong-In-ji wrote Hae-rae-bon-Hun-min-jeong-eum(The Interpretative Book of the King Se-jong`s Korean Alphabet). He fellowed faithfully the king Se-jong`s independent view of Korean in the book. However Jeong-In-ji`s original linguistic attitude was not different from Choi-Man-ri`s one who opposed the creation of Him-min-jeong-eum(The king Se-jong`s Korean Alphabet). Choi-Man-ri thought the Korean language as `a secular, boorish and vulgar one`. Jeong-In-ji also used the same words. The creation of Yong-bi-eo-cheon-ga was the most important matter in the development of the Korean poetic history. In the result of the creation, the linguistic tradition of the popular songs of Go-ryeo dynasty was inherited and they achieved the new poetic dimension accommodated the senior Chinese artistic thought. Jeong-In-ji interested in the figurative words of popular song`s of Go-ryeo dynasty. He used the figurative way on the creation of Yong-bi-eo-cheon-ga. The senior figurative ways had been used by Chu-hsi in his comments of Shih-ching.

He left numerous paintings of oriental orchids in Chinese ink and was also outstanding in his knowledge of Confucianism, Epigraphy, astronomy and Buddhistic learning. His Buddhist chinese poetry have a important significance from the view point of `investigation of Buddhistic learining`, `association with buddhist priests` and especially `stage of non-discrimination[無別]`, Anyway, He had eruditeness on Buddhist tenet as named of `Yumageosa in Chosen Dynasty`. Based on these knowledge, he made a perfect mixture to purity of literature and Buddhist tenet. Therefore we call his poetry `Buddhist chinese poetry[佛敎漢詩]`.
