The article analyzes Ibn Baṭṭūṭah’s perspective on Shiʿah Muslims appeared in his Riḥlah. This article argues that his perspective on Shiʿah Muslims and their beliefs reflects the heightened antipathy among Sunni ʿulamāʾ toward Shi‘ah Muslims in the early 14th century. Like his contemporary Sunni ʿulamāʾ, Ibn Baṭṭūṭah regarded Shiʿah Muslims as ‘others’ in the Muslim community because of their distinct historical memories on the early period of the Muslim community. This article points out that as in the present time, different rituals and daily behaviors between Sunni and Shiʿah Muslims played a key role in demarcating sectarian boundaries in Ibn Baṭṭūṭah’s period.

This research aims to study the effectiveness of the flipped learning method in teaching Arabic to Korean students. The term 'flipped learning' can be translated in a variety of ways, and it refers to overturning the traditional form of class, which used to take lectures at school and do homework at home. Before students come to class, they watch the lecture video provided by the teacher in advance and study, and during the actual class time, they do the homework they did at home or group activites with the teacher and colleagues, so that it enables more interesting and effective teaching and learning. From this standpoint, this research aims to shed light on the concept of the flipped learning, its techniques, features and to present the flipped learning model for teaching Arabic to Korean students in order to improve the four language skills and motivate them to study more effectively. In this research, Arabic lessons were conducted on a pilot basis using the flip-learning method, and it became clear that flip-learning lessons gave learners a positive change in their attitude toward Arabic subjects, teachers, and fellow students through a survey of students' perceptions after class. And It was also confirmed that the motivation for learning has also changed very positively.

This research aims to study the simile and uncover the role it plays in the educational process, as we know, teaching Arabic rhetoric is an integral part of the process of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. Moreover, the simile is a goal, during the teaching process, thus, the teachers use it as a means of clarification and approximating the image to the students' minds. Accordingly, this study relied on presenting new methods for teaching simile to foreign students, these methods differ in one way or another from the methods presented to the Arabs; because the methods provided to foreigners depend on the development of their levels of Arabic learning.

This research aims to discuss a thorny issue of morphology in which there is a lot of confusion and conflicting opinions, which is the issue of the sections of the three radical verbs. Is it nine as the rational division requires it to be? Or is it four, as Sibawayh mentioned, or five, as others said? In order to achieve this goal, the research presented the six section of the three radical verbs, and elicited the opinions of some grammarians. The research discussed the basis on which the idea of the three verb categories division was based, and stopped at the idea of the necessity of a contradiction among the vocalizations of the second radical in the past tense and the present tense form, which was the decisive factor in determining the steady and anomalous analogy of the derivation. The research also stopped at the dialectical overlapping theory with which Ibn Jinni dealt with this topic.

This research is a critical study on the phenomenon of obscurity in the modern Arabic poetry. At the beginning of the research it was pointed out that the phenomenon of obscurity in the Arabic poetry began with the poets born in the Abbasid era who were known as "the tropes (Badi) poets". The research links between the obscurity of modern poetry and the movement of modernism in the world literature. The obscurity of ancient poetry comes from the difficulty of the words, while the obscurity of the ancient poetry is the result of the poetic vision and discourse. Salah Abdel Sabour believes that the task of the modern poet is to restore the language of Arabic poetry as it was in the past, the language of daily life. As for Adonis, he believes that the Arab society lives in a time of backwardness, and the poet is required to shake him and not reconcile with him, because this will keep these audiences in backwardness.
