This study aims to review the dilemma and double desire of female love stories through the trends of romantic love being structured, focused on full-length novels of female novelists Gang, Shin-jae and Eun, Hee-kyung. On one hand, the female love stories create domination and tension by highlighting the oxymoron social structure and the reality dominated by men. On the other hand, these novels search and conserve "moral fantasy" and "popular sublime" of love.
The novels of Gang, Shin-jae and Eun, Hee-kyung reveals that romantic love is a false ideology, conflicting with the marriage system and reproducing the existing society. Gang, Shin-jae's 『Your Cold Hands』 puts the pure love and feudal family system in conflicting relation, and Eun, Hee-kyung's 『Last Dance is with Me』 dissembles the old ideology of the women's sacrifice and devotion, maternal instinct and purity.
However, these novels disconnect the link between love and marriage, and pursue the narrative structure of union-delay, which denies the final destination of love stories. Also, this produces romantism of love and utopian aspirations.
