Polycarbonate/Poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) 블렌드의 상용성 및 결정성에 관한 연구

Polycarbonate (PC) and poly(butylene adipate-co-therephthalate)(PBAT) were melt blended using twin screw extruder. The phase morphology of PC/PBAT blends indicated a homogeneous structure by scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). Dynamic mechanical analysis revealed that there is shift of two tano toward each other. Especially, the both tanopeaks closely approach each other in case of PC/PBAT (75/25). It is thought that this is attributed to transesterification occurred during the melt mixing. WAXD results showed that the intensity of crystalline diffraction peaks of PBAT decreased with an increase of PC contents in the blends.

Polylactic acid, biodegradable polymer from biomass, is poor at thermal characteristics and mechanical properties due to low crystallinity and crystallization rate. Therefore, many researches are reported to improve it`s poor properties. In this study, we introduced some nucleating agents to enhance that weak points of PLA and investigated it`s features by DSC, polarization microscope and UTM. We used talc and β-cyclodextrin as nucleating agent to confirm thermal characteristics and mechanical properties. Thorough this study, we proved that talc work as nucleating agent on PLA and are shown that mechanical properties are improved.

This paper focuses on the sterilization of Escherichia coli (E. coli) by using dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma. The death rate of E. coli was evaluated by changing the electric power and treatment time under various conditions, i.e., with ultraviolet alone, with ozonation alone, and with ultraviolet plus ozonation.

A rapid flow injection chemiluminescence method (CL-FIA) is proposed for the determination of folic acid (FA). The method is based on the intensified CL intensity of Ce(IV)-Na2S2O4-FA system catalyzed by gold nanoparticles (Au NPs). The CL intensity of the Ce(IV)-Na2S2O4-FA-Au NPs system was increased with the concentration of FA in the linear range of 2.3×10(-9)-8.5×10(-7) mol L(-1) with correlation coefficient of 0.9992. The limit of detection was found to be 2.7×10(-10) mol L(-1). The method affords good accuracy with high sensitivity and selectivity which can be applied successfully for the determination of folic acid in pharmaceutical and biological samples.

A disposable light exposure detector kit has been developed by UV curing of a hydrogel material. The devised light exposure detector kit consisted of light sensitive structures, bottom plate, character sheet and sticky back plate. A light exposure detector kit has a serial light sensitive structures that contain various light sensitive dyes such as rhodamine and fluorescein. The light sensitive structure composed of UV curable hydrogel polymer material as a supporing material and photosensitive dye in a certain concentration. The fabrication procedure of the ligh exposure detector kit is very simple and fast due to UV curing procedure of a photopolymerizable hydrogel material such as poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether acrylate (PEGMEA) and poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) with a photosensitive dye. By the proposed fabrication method, various size and shape of a light exposure detector kit could be fabricated using a flexible elastomer mold. Due to a fast and inexpensive fabrication method, the light exposure detector kit could be use a single use for various industrial applications. According to light irradation, the light sensitive structure on a light exposure detector kit could be lose its color by decomposition of a photosensitive dye chemical in the structure. Thus the amount of the exposed light on a substrate could easily be recognised by changing color or transparency of the structure.

A sensitive silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) enhanced chemiluminescence (CL) method is reported for the determination of mandelic acid (MA). This method is based on the luminol-KIO4 system catalyzed by Ag NPs to produce CL spectra. Prepared Ag NPs were characterized by UV-visible spectra and TEM image. Under optimal condition, CL spectra of the system were responded linearly with the concentration of MA in the range of 2.5×10(-9) to 2.0×10(-8) mol L(-1)(r=0.9989) with a detection limit of 1.2×10(-10) mol L(-1). The relative standard deviation of 1.0×10(-7) mol L(-1) MA was found 1.45 (n=9).

A highly sensitive spectrofluorimetric method was developed for the determination of levodopa based on the formation of a ternary complex with Eu3+ in the presence of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. It was found that this complex manifests intense fluorescence at 591 and 613 nm with excitation at 372 nm and maximum intensity was obtained at 613nm. Under the optimum conditions, the enhanced fluorescence intensity was proportional to the concentration of levodopa over the range of 3×10(-9)-2.5×10(-7) mol L(-1) with limit of detection (LOD) of 4.37×10(-10) mol L(-1). The method offers higher sensitivity and selectivity which could be effectively applied for the determination of levodopa in pharmaceutical and biological samples.

Surfactant enhanced fluorescence (FL) of europium-salicylic acid (SA) complex has been studied. It was observed that weak FL of Eu(III) at the wavelength of 589 nm and 612 nm was found to be enhanced after addition of salicylic acid and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant upon excitation at 395 nm. Under optimized condition, FL intensity of Eu(III) at 612 nm responded linearly with the concentration of SA in the range of 5.5×10(-9) to 1.5×10(-6) M of SA. The detection limit was calculated from the calibration curve(3Sb/m) as 9.27×10(-9)M.

A chemiluminescent method with gold nanoparticles for determination of vitamin C has been presented. Gold nanoparticles highly increased chemiluminescence intensity of lumimol-H2O2 system by its catalytic effect. The gold nanoparticles enhanced chemiluminescent method is applicable for the determination of an antioxidant such as vitamin C. When vitamin C was introduced to the lumimol system with gold nanoparticles, chemiluminescence intensity was reduced with the concentration of the added vitamin C. Low concentrated vitamin C solutions in the range of 1×10(-3)-1×10(-9) M were produced reduced chemiluminescence intensity of lumimol-H2O2 with gold nanoparticles system.

A chemiluminescent method with silver nanoparticles for determination of L-alanine has been presented. The chemilumiscence intensity was further enhanced by silver nanoparticles in the luminol system by its catalytic role. The silver nanoparticles enhanced chemiluminescent method is applicable for the determination of an amino acid such as alanine. When alanine was introduced to the luminol system with silver nanoparticles, chemiluminescence intensity was reduced with the concentration of the added alanine. The effects of pH, concentrations of luminol, hydrogen peroxide and silver nanoparticles on the chemiluminescence intensity were investigated. The calibration curve for L-alanine was linear over the range from 6.60×10(-8) M to 4.00×10(-7) M, coefficient of correlation was 0.996 and detection limit was 3.5×10(-9) M under the optimal conditions of 4.0×10(-3) M, 4.0×10(-2) M, 4.0×10(-4) M, 12.8 for the concentration of luminol, H2O2, silver nanoparticles and pH, respectively.
