We synthesized ethylene-styrene copolymer by coordination polymerization using 2 types of pyrazolato metallocene catalysts ((1,2,4-Me3C5H4)TiCl2(3,5-iPr2C3HN2), (tert-BuC5H4) TiCl2(3,5-iPr2C3HN2)). We observed the effects of styrene concentration on the catalytic activity, yield, molecular weight and molecular weight distribution.

We synthesized ethylene-styrene copolymer using pyrazolato-type metallocene catalysts. We observed the effects of ethylene contents on the catalytic activity, yield molecular weight and molecular weight distribution. We could also confirm living polymerization behavior through the changes of the Mn and Mw/Mn according to the yield.

A rapid and sensitive chemiluminescence (CL) method was designed for the determination of trace amount of perphenazine (PERN) based on the gold nanoparticles enhanced luminol-H2O2-PERN system. The degree of enhancement of CL signal intensity of the system was proportional with the concentration of PERN. Under optimum experimental conditions, the linearity of CL signal intensity was observed in the range of 3.5×10-9 to 2.0×10-7 mol/L (r2= 0.9995) with a detection limit of 1.37×10-9 mol/L. Precision of the method was tested at the concentration level of 1.0×10-7 mol/L for 8 replicate measurements giving value of RSD 2.25%.

A sensitive fluorescence (FL) method has been proposed for the determination of prulifloxacin (PUFX) using Eu3+` as fluorescence probe. The method is based on the enhancement of the FL intensity of Eu3+-PUFX in the presence of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs). The enhanced FL intensity of the Eu3+-PUFX-Ag NPs system at 614 nm showed a good linear relationship with the concentration of PUFX within the range of 2.8×10-8-1.1×10-5 mol L-1 with correlation coefficient of 0.9998. The limit of detection was found to be 5.8×10-9 mol L-1. The proposed method has been successfully applied for the determination of PUFX in pharmaceutical samples and bio-fluids with high sensitivity and selectivity.

Organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs) have attracted considerable attention due to their low cost, light-weight and flexible characteristics. Small molecules have advantages of welldefined structure and easy synthesis. In this work, new tetrazine, DPP, and furan-based oligomers for organic solar cell were synthesized by Suzuki coupling reaction. The structures were confirmed by NMR and optical and electronic properties were investigated by UV- vis absorption.

Water soluble Poly[N-α,β-dichlorosuccinic acid]glucosamines were synthesized through the reaction of maleic anhydride with Cl2, (UV)250∼300 nm wavelength in presence of CCl4. For the second reaction of Poly[N-dichlorosuccinic acid]glucosamine derivatives(I) was accomplished by a modification of the general acylation using excess α,β-(dichloro) succinic anhydride in the presence of 2% acetic acid with methanol condition as a solvent at elevated temperature(70℃). We considered organic acid derivatives were useful especially for treatment for the pharmaceutical chemistry, cosmetics and industry part.

A sensitive and selective determination method of Fe(Ⅱ) ion by luminol-H2O2 system using a chelating reagent has been presented. A metal ion-chelating ligand complex such as Fe(Ⅱ)-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) produced higher chemiluminescence (CL) intensity as well as longer lifetime in luminol-H2O2 system than metal exist as free ions. Furthermore, the catalytic activity of Cu(Ⅱ) and Pb (Ⅱ) complexes with chelating reagents in luminol-H2O2 system was lost since chelating reagents act as a masking agent although free Cu(Ⅱ) and Pb(Ⅱ) ions have high catalytic activity. On the optimized conditions, the calibration curve of Fe(Ⅱ) ion was linear over the range from 1.0×10-7 to 2.0ⅹ10-5 M with correlation coefficient of 0.996. The detection limit was calculated to be 4.0×10-8 M.

The pulse electro-deposition processes created the PtCo alloy catalysts directly on the surface of gas diffusion layer (GDL). The PtCo alloy catalysts was well dispersed in GDL. By increasing cobalt contents, the size of PtCo alloy catalysts was decreased, result in the enhancement of ESA. Enhanced performance and durability of platinum might be due to the both of structural change and decrease of particle size of platinum.

Filtration is the most widely utilized technique for air cleaning and sampling, and is applied in a variety of industries, such as respiratory protection, air cleaning of smelter effluents, processing of nuclear and hazardous materials, and particle collection in clean rooms. The purpose of this research is to improve the collection performance of filtration. This study was mainly focused on the characterization of filters and the way to maintain optimal performance of filtration.

Underwater plasma is formed from a tungsten electrode inserted in a narrow dielectric capillary. Plasma is formed by electrical breakdown. It is produced with atomic oxygen, atomic hydrogen, and hydroxyl ion by the dissociation of vapor. It is also formed of chemical agents like chlorine gas, hypochlorousacid, hypochloriteion and free available chlorine, which are useful sterilization substances. The energy yield was decreased by injecting the gas (N2, Ar, and O2) into a electrode. In this context, the plasma is formed from a electrode by approximately 55% energy levels.
