Poly(lactic acid)와 Cellulose acetate butyrate 얼로이의 제조 및 상용성 평가

Currently, there is increasing interest in using biodegradable and renewable materials for disposable applications as an alternative of some conventional petroleum plastics. Cellulose ester, particularly preferable for a liquid crystal display device, is prepared from the esterification of cellulose derived from abundant plant. Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) is a promising synthetic biopolymer derived from agricultural feedstock, but it has poor thermal and mechanical properties. In this work, Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and Cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) were melt blended using twin screw extruder in order to improve properties of bio-based polymer and to expand applications. The phase morphology of PLA/CAB alloys was investigated by Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM). The compatibility of alloys was analyzed by Fourier-Transformation Infrared (FT-IR) and Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA).

PEIT(Polyethylene-co-Isosorbide Terephthalate), made from renewable corn-derived Isosorbide monomer, exhibits a wide range of glass transition temperature and is able to be used in many applications. We introduced MWCNT in order to improve thermal and mechanical properties of PEIT and give electric characteristic to PEIT. The thermal properties were investigated by DSC and TGA. The morphology, mechanical properties and electrical characteristic were performed by FE-SEM, UTM and surface resistance meter. As a result, we could find that the PEIT/MWCNT composites have high conductivity and good mechanical properties.

A chemiluminescence (CL) method is reported for the determination of melamine by flow injection analysis (FIA). This method is based on the reaction of melamine with Ru(bipy)3 2+ and Ce(IV) in presence of colloidal platinum nanopartilces to produce CL. Under optimal condition, CL intensity was linearly related with melamine concentration. The calibration curve was linear over the range of 5.0×10-9-2.0×10-6 M with the limit of detection, 9.8×10-9 M. The relative standard deviation of 1.0×10-7 M melamine was found 2.5% (n=10).

A simple and sensitive fluorometric method has been proposed by the enhanced luminescence from the europium (Eu3+)-doxycycline (DC) complex in the presence of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The enhancement of the luminescence from the Eu3+-DC complex by AgNPs was accredited due to the transfer of resonance energy to the fluorophores through the interaction of the excited-state fluorophores and surface plasmon electron in the metal nanosurface. The enhanced luminescence intensity was linearly proportional to the concentration of DC in the range of 3.0×10-9-1.7×10-7 g mL-1. The limit of detection was found to be 4.0×10-10 g mL-1. The proposed method has been applied successfully to determine DC in pharmaceuticals and biological samples.

Leave of bamboo have used for medicine and for food, but no used for materials of industrials. The Cell wall of bamboo leaves was composed with porous silica. The silica be extracted, will be used absorption agent, nano support, catalyst and source for silicone chemistry. In our study, Extracted silica from bamboo(ESB) leave, was gone pulverizing, burning, after grinding, stirring in 1M HCl solution, filteration, stirring in hydroperoxide and base solution, adding 0.1M HCl for precipitation of ESB, filteration and drying. Properties of ESB have been determined with XRD, ICP, FT-IR and FE-SEM. Those results of ESB have been amorphous nano porous silica.

Polypyrrole-CNT was composed with MnO2-CNT for aqueous energy storage system. Polypyrrole dispersed on CNT was used as battery type electrode by using doping/ dedoping reaction of Li+ in hybrid capacitor. Ppy/CNT and MnO2/CNT as single cell showed good high performance and cyclic stability in charge/discharge test.

A determination method of cyanide ion (CN-) using nickel complexation reaction by continuous monitoring system. The mechanical parameters and chemical conditions of the complexation reaction were investigated prior to application of continuous monitoring system for determination of cyanide. On the optimized conditions, the calibration curve was linear over the range from 5.0×10-6 to 1.0×10-4 M. In this range, 2.40% of the reproducibility (RSD, n=3) was obtained. The limit of detection (3σ/s) was calculated to be 1.8×10-6 M.

Small and medium-sized glove boxes for the handling of depleted uranium were designed and fabricated. We controlled the moisture and oxygen concentration to < 1 ppm and placed depleted uranium into the primary vessel of the hydrogen isotope storage bed. This system consists of a glove box, a purification system and an antechamber, etc. In this study, the characteristics of the small and medium-sized glove box system for the handling of depleted uranium are presented for each component. Operation examples of the glove box system are also presented. The fabricated small and medium-sized glove box system will be utilized for the fabrication of the hydrogen isotope storage bed.

대기로 방출되는 황을 제거하기 위한 목적으로 사용되는 석고로부터 얻어지는 탈황석고를 원료로하여 암모니아와의 탄산화 반응과정을 거쳐 얻어지는 탄산칼슘 미분체를 이용한 표면개질 특성을 파악하였다. 유기용매에 지방산을 녹여 탄산칼슘 미분체에 비극성 지방산 그룹을 코팅시켜 표면 개질된 탄산칼슘 분체들의 물리 화학적 특성을 조사하였으며, 분체의 표면 특성을 평가하기 위한 다양한 분석법 적용을 통해 얻어진 분체 표면의 개질화 용이성, 개질된 탄산칼슘 분체의 유용성 증대 등에 대하여 논하였다
