Purpose: This study investigated the influencing factors of COVID-19 infection anxiety, impulsivity, and decisionmaking type on health information-seeking behavior on the internet. Methods: This study was conducted by 178 college students of 5 cities in Korea using a self-reporting survey with structured questionnaires of COVID-19 anxiety, impulsiveness, decision-making style, and health information-seeking behavior on the internet. SPSS 25 was used for the statistical analysis. Results: The results showed that non-planning impulsivity(ß=-.25, p<.001), dependent decision-making types(ß=.23, p<.001), and COVID-19 infection anxiety(ß=.22, p=.001) had statistically significant effects on health information-seeking behavior on the internet with 33.6% overall explanatory power. Conclusion: Findings of this study indicate that college students’ dependent decision-making types, COVID-19 infection anxiety had a positive effect, and non-planning impulsivity had a negative effect on health information-seeking behavior on the internet. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to identify and compare health information-seeking behavior on the internet based on infection and self-quarantine experiences.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the factors affecting turnover intention of violent experience and burnout in psychiatric nurses. Methods: The subjects of this study were 147 psychiatric nurses working at hospitals located in B Metropolitan city and Gyeongsangnam-do. Data collection took place from June 20, 2019, to July 31, 2019. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS 24.0 statistical program. Results: The violence experience has a significantly positive correlation with burnout (r=.30, p<.001) and turnover intention (r=.47, p<.001). Moreover, burnout has a significantly positive correlation with turnover intention (r=.44, p<.001). Factors influencing the turnover intention of the subjects were predictions for patient violent behavior (β=0.14, p=.048), psychiatric job satisfaction (β=0.17, p=.019), violence experience (β=0.28, p<.001), and burnout (β=0.220, p=.007). The explanatory power of these variables for the turnover intention was 48.4%. Conclusion: Aggressive intervention by a hospital and the nursing manager is suggested for safety in a psychiatric nurse’s work environment. The development of a nursing education program is expected to satisfy the nursing job and reduce turnover intention.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify decision-making styles, critical thinking disposition, and self-leadership according to Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality type in nursing students. Methods: The sample consisted of 200 nursing students. Data were analyzed descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe, and Pearson correlation analysis. Results: According to the MBTI preference index, Rational decision-making style was significantly higher in thinking (T), the intuitive style was higher in extroversion (E) and intuition (N), and critical thinking disposition and self-leadership were higher in intuition (N) and thinking (T). There were significant differences in decision-making styles, critical thinking disposition, and self-leadership by MBTI functions. The dependent decision-making style was higher in SF type and NF type, the critical thinking disposition was higher in SF type, and NT type and self-leadership were higher in NF type and NT type. Decision-making styles, critical thinking disposition, and self-leadership in nursing students had a significant correlation with each other. Conclusion: In this study, there was a statistically significant correlation between MBTI personality type in nursing students and their decision-making styles, critical thinking disposition, and self-leadership. Therefore, when planning a nursing education program, it seems necessary to adjust the program regarding the students’ MBTI personality type.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the knowledge of infection prevention and the performance of infection control for care workers and provide the necessary data of the infection control education program for care workers. Methods: Participants in this study were care workers working at the Jeju area’s nursing homes. The number of all subjects was 190, and the data were collected by using self-report questionnaires from May 20 to June 28, 2014. Results: Performance of infection control has a statistically significant difference by age (F=2.80, p=.041) and experiences of infection prevention management education (t=2.53, p=.015). It showed that the care worker’s knowledge of infection prevention positively correlates with infection control performance (r=.31, p<.001). The knowledge of infection prevention was the primary factor that impacted the care worker’s infection control performance by explaining 15.0% of the variance. Conclusion: The results showed that knowledge of infection prevention was the major factor that impacted infection control performance. Therefore, it is vital to develop and apply the program to improve the care worker’s knowledge of infection prevention and infection control performance.

Purpose: Because of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, colleges had no choice but to introduce online classes without sufficient preparation. As a result, various problems emerged in college students’ learning experience. To establish a strategy for improving online education quality, the necessity to understand university students’ learning behavior, learner characteristics, learning satisfaction, and the impact of professor-student interaction on online lecture concentricity. Methods: This study is a cross-sectional survey conducted on college students from nine universities who experienced online lectures in the first semester of 2020. Online lecture learning behavior, learner characteristics, learning satisfaction, and professor-student interaction were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient to explore the difference in online lecture concentration. Results: The concentration in-class lectures and online lectures averaged 7.04 and 5.73, respectively. According to the analysis, online learning concentration was a significant positive correlation by learner characteristics (r=.40, p<.001), professor-student interaction (r=.30, p<.001), online lecture evaluation (r=.34, p<.001). Conclusion: Therefore, it is suggested that universities should establish guidance strategies related to lecture time zones, measures for managing and supervising learners, reflecting online lecture evaluation results, and strategies for improving student interaction.

Methods: For this study, 208 nursing students and non-nursing students in the C area were analyzed, and the data collection period was from October to November, 2018. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 24.0 program with frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, χ²-test, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Results: The biomedical ethics consciousness of nursing students and non-nursing students was 2.64±0.38 points and 2.74±0.30 points, respectively, with statistically significant differences (t=-2.24, p=.026). Attitudes toward withdrawal of lifesustaining treatment were 2.71±0.35 points and 2.69±0.40 points, respectively. There was a negative correlation (r=-.29, p=.003) between nursing students’ consciousness of biomedical ethics and withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment. Conclusion: As a result of this study, tailored biomedical ethics education for nursing students and non-nursing students should be continuously provided for rational decision-making on withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment.
