Bilingual Research 45, 261-224. This study is about the communication strategies of Chinese Korean learners according to their Korean proficiency. Out of various strategies, repetition takes multiple functions in discourse. However, it has not been discussed deeply enough in the argument over communication strategies. To deal with this, this study analyzes learners` daily discourse and investigates repetition as a strategy in the discourse. The subjects include the utterances of 9 Chinese students and 3 Chinese graduates studying at Pusan University of Foreign Studies. The analysis is categorized by dividing self-repetition and other-repetition into non-interactive strategies and interactive strategies. The result shows that the higher the level of proficiency the Chinese Korean learners have, the mare various the interactive strategies the Chinese Korean learners use. This study on the communication strategies in accordance with learners` level will suggest something important to the studies on learners` interlanguage.(Pusan University of Foreign Studies)

Bilingual Research 45, 285-301. The purpose of this study is investigating the aspects of errors of Korean language learners in using the words that consisted of predicative norm and suffix. It is thought very difficult for Korean learners to use these words appropriately because learners should know the arguments accurately, discriminate subtle meaning of predicative nouns and select proper suffix. Writings of learners in intermediate and advanced level as analysed. From those writings the errors in using ``predicative noun+suffix`` were extracted and classified into the three, the area of arguments, the area of predicative nouns and the area of suffix, to examine concrete aspects of errors. As a result, the most frequent errors were those because of the inaccurate ease marker of arguments, And the next were that did not use the semantically appropriate predicative nouns that is proper for the arguments. ft seen that learner have difficulty in using the accurate marker of the argument the predicative noun needs, and discriminating the subtle meaning of predicative norms which are mostly the Sino-Korean words. These results can show the difficulty of learners in using ``predicative noun+suffix`` words, and propose what is necessary in teaching these ``predicative noun+suffuc`` words.(Wonkwang Digital University)

Bilingual Research 45, 309-330. The purpose of this paper is to analysis effect of teaching using by duration of syllable for Chinese 12. The accent errors of Chinese 12 who study the Korean on the proposal of previous researches can be summarized in two ways. One is the error due to an interference of Chinese accents and rhythms, another is an accent realization of a specific vowel. Two types of errors by experimental phonetics and reviewing critically of the previous researches are the purpose of this paper. Experimental groups are three; the Korean group, the Chinese learner group at the beginner level and a Chinese group at the advanced level. At thirty six declarative sentences, it compares final lengthening and falling boundaty tone between Korean and Chinese groups in order to account for the errors of an intetference of Chinese accents and rhythms and then it compares syllable duration and value of changing pitch between V-V word and V-CV word in order to account for an accent realization of a specific vowel. Cause of these error is duration of syllable. Thus the goal of this study is to make sure whether errors amendment ratio of entire prosody by syllable duration education is good or not.(Korea University)

Bilingual Research 45. 331-351. This paper discusses Korean consonant system in terms of typological universals of natural languages with the data in UCLA Phonological Segment Inventory Database (19X4) and The World Atlas of Language Structures (2005). Korean manifests the following common facts that are found in natural languages; (i) the size of phonological inventory and consonant inventory of Korean, (ii) the ratio of obstruents-sonorants, (iii) the number of nasals and glides, and (iv) the frequency of stops(including affricates) based on the place of articulation. On the other hand, Korean has a very unique structure of stops. affricates and fricatives in terms of the manner of articulation. In particular, the aspirated and tense segments make the Korean consonant system different from the general aspects that are found in other human languages,(Hankuk University of foreign studies)

Bilingual Research 45, 3 53-374. The purpose of this paper is to prove similarities and differences of the ease system of Manchu and Korean, on the foundation this, we clarify genetic relevances of two languages. In order to this investigation, we organized Manchu verbs constructions from qing studies four books. 八歲兒, 小兒論, 淸語老乞大, 三譯總結 and on the basis of this works we would like to investigate Manchu case system synthetically, systematically. To summarized, like following this. Firstly, Both Manchu and Korean were realized subjective genitive construction. Secondly, it is possible that the objective case and genitive case were ellipsis. Thirdly, it is possible that subjective case and objective case were duplicate. Fourthly, the objective case ``-be`` took direction besides theme, dative ease ``-de`` took ``instrument``, theme``, ``reason`` besides indirection, and instrumental case took ``instrument``, ``indirection`` etc. By this analysis, we confirmed similarities between Manchu and Korean. By Contrast we examined differences of Manchu and Korean in various aspects. For example, the subjective case were realized 0 morph in Manchu. Furthermore, ellipsis of the dative case and the instrumental cases were acceptable. (Korea University)

이중언어학 45, 375-403. 세계화로 인해 언어 교육의 문제가 제기되면서 각 나라에서는 보다 높은 효율성을 가지는 언어 교육을 실행하기 위해 교육 차원, 그리고 정치-행정적인 차원에서 많은 노력을 보이고 있다. 현재 학교 정규 과정에서 외국어로 된 과목을 도입하는 것은 유럽 연합회를 구성하는 나라의 핵심 과제라고 할 수 있으며 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 유럽의 많은 학교에서 언어와 내용을 통합하는 교육이 도입 되었다. 본고의 목적은 이탈리아에서 언어와 내용을 통합하는 교육이 어떻게 도입되었는지, 그리고 이 새로운 교육에 의해 생긴 문제가 어떻게 해결되었는지를 살펴보는 것에 있다. 이탈리아에서의 언어와 내용을 통합하는 교육을 소개하기 위해 정치적- 행정적인 배경을 소개한 다음 교사의 입장과 학습자의 입장에서 언어와 내용을 통합하는 교육 과정의 문제점을 검토할 것이다. 특히 언어와 내용을 통합할 수 있는 교사의 양성과 교육의 해결 정책을 설펴볼 것이다.
