This paper explored the meaning of 'nature' from the perspective of narrative structures in Cheon Seung-se's novels. Nature does not controled by people in his novels < Nakwoldo > and < Shingung >. Popular lives in the fishing village but their do not keep from nature disaster. Everyone is ruined in this place. Nature is horrible and strange for people. The place where they live, is the naturalized village. Which is not historical community controled by common ethics and social interest. They live a life nature is their own fate. For example, 'Wang Nyeon-i' suffer from nature, she dose not have resent fate in < Shingung >. This characters obey the law of nature and they just act by instinct. There is no such one as intellectuals in 'Nakwoldo'. In the world of character of primitive, they have a act not by consciousness but by instinct. In representation the nature and instinctive being, they are not to be involved the folkish type discourses. Rather naturalized place, it is not a virgin world in Cheon Seung-se's novels. Disaster is the sign that nature is not a creation of human being. The character of instinct don't know the limit of drive of their own, so that they don't have any moral as like limitless nature.

This study was conducted to analyze the elements and semiosis of digital pop-up books. The introduction of digital technology into books expands the reader’s experience. This study defines a digital pop-up book as a kind of e-book, which contains mainly ‘Augmented Reality’ technology. A typical digital pop-up book employs three-dimensional hiding images. Its letters and images are more realistic and vivid compared with printed ones, but at the same time less actual and more transient because the objects it digitally presents are nonexistent. These properties correspond to theory of Materiality of Henry Bergson. He expressed and depicted matter in terms of movement and duration. Considering digital pop-up book from his viewpoint, it is distinct from printed pop-up book. British Carton and Korean GIST’s digital pop-up book is selected for this analysis. Both represent domestic and foreign trends of digital pop-up book. Analysis shows the followings: first, augmented images of digital pop-up book exteriorize the reading and develop narrative. Most of augmented images derive from fantasy of readers. Second, augmented reality of digital pop-up book is multisensory so it extends the perception of reader. Third, the subject of reading is broadened by reader’s physical acting and interaction.

In this paper I explain that this work is meant to calm the controversy on ancient sages in Seonsan(善山), focusing on the poets in this work. Because the ending of this work is very different from that of other mongyurok(夢遊錄) and the course of Keumsaeng's spiritual enlightenment is not convincing. Jeong Mong-ju's poet says that his loyalty to Korye dynasty was not wrong, Ki Jae's poet says that the rumor which he denied the legitimacy of Korye dynasty wan fabricated. Kim Ju's poet is meant to solve the suspicion of his activities, Kim Jong-jik's poet is meant to cover up the criticism of his writing Jouijemun(弔義帝文). By writing this work, Choi Hyeon intended to emphasize the ideological integral of his group, especially Confucianists in Seonsan and strengthen the social ground of them.
