The export is an important economic growth strategy in South Korea. South Korea is strongly dependant on external trades. Bilateral trade between China and South Korea has been grown rapidly in recent years The China is now Korea`s first-largest trading partner. Thus, the Korea-China Free Trade Agrement (FFA) in South Korea`s trade operations is very important. A discussion of Korea-China bilateral FTA commenced in 2004 November. This paper is to recognize the phenomenon of major issued fields in the Korea-China FTA such as a manufacturing, agriculture, customs and seek a negotiation strategy that are summarized as follows. In terms of trade based on manufacturing, it is necessary to divide into a private, general reduction and priority reduction item to recognize whether it is complementary or competitive on the specific industry in the FTA negotiation by using an index regarding supplement and competition of these two countries. In particularly sensitive agricultural field, FTA should be progressed gradually after giving a certain period of time of grace period on the basis of various flexible tariff systems in order to minimize agriculture damage as a result of the rapid growth from import of Chinese agricultural goods.

This paper examined the supply chain management Integration factors and evironmental performance in Korean industry. As SCM got evolved, the importance of Socially and Environmentally Responsible Supply Chain among the Supply Chain members are increased. we should consider the following critical factors such as SCM Integration, environmental practice, SCM performance and environmental performance. The purpose of this study is to focus on linkage between conventional SCM factors with new environmental factors to clarify the critical factor for the SCM firms who may concerns about environmental performance. Based on the analysis of sixty-two cases, the following results were found. First, SCM Integration factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on SCM performance and environmental performance of supply chain management. Second, SCM performance have a positively significant influent on environmental performance. Third, environmental practice factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on SCM performance but not significant influence on environmental performance. This study suggests that with high level of Integration and environmental practice, firms may have good result on SCM performance and environmental performance. Especially, our empirical evidence shows that environmental practices without good SCM performance, may not have good result on environmental performance.

A better selection model on management innovative enterprises is needed since the Korean government provides multi benefits to those selected enterprises, However, the selection model`s propriety is suspicious because of the shortage of consideration of assessment items. In particular, the most important two assessment items, strategy and performance are suspected of multicollinearity because of high correlation scores. No consideration on multicollinearity among those items leads to erroneous selection which doubly counts the same components with different item names. The principle component analysis is applied to factor out the uncorrelated items. Using the resulted principle components, the new estimations are carried out. The comparison between estimated results from using principle components and non principle components shows that the present selection model overly considers the performance items compared to the real effect of items, which is a result of multicollinearity between performance and strategy.

This study concerns the identification of INPR process (i.e., antecedents, timeliness in new product development (NPD) and international new product rollout (INPR) and consequences) for international new product performance. It was empirically tested by a Korean sample to verify the validity of the research framework. The results show that cross-functional integration exhibited a statistically significant and positive effect on NPD timeliness. For the rapid development of new products, evidence is mounting in favor of cross-functional integration that facilitates both the quick dissemination and utilization of information. A higher level of marketing synergy was positively associated with a higher level of NPD timeliness. These findings suggest that marketing synergy plays a key role in enhancing NPD timeliness in South Korean manufacturing companies. The results also indicate that HQ-subsidiary cooperation was positively related to INPR timeliness. More comprehensive and varied information flows between HQ and subsidiary are likely to achieve product competitive advantage and then the latter may lead to international new product launch timeliness. However, technology synergy has no significant influence on NPD timeliness, implying that Korean manufacturer& managers do not recognize technology to be a major driving force, unlike Western manufacturers` managers. The findings also indicate that the positive effects of timeliness in INPR on international new product performance. It is important note that successful achievements of international new product success are likely to rely on INPR timeliness, Importantly, the results found that products developed within planned time frames are more likely to be rolled out into multi-markets on-time, resulting m higher levels of performance than when NPD completion is delayed.

This study intends to analyze the trade competitiveness of Korean films in international markets. Under environmental of film industry, Korean films could be doing better. But the Key success factors Korean films in the foreign markets are the improvement of contents Quality and the diversification of trade market. Namely, Our films is mainly exporting Japanese market and the import depends upon American films, In case the trade specialization index(TSI), The international competitiveness of Korean films shows lower import specialization, by virtue of export increasing of Japan, Europe and other markets in 2000`s. On the other hand, The Export Market Share has shown similar pattern to main markets except Japanese market, and the import was almost similar to trend in foreign markets except American films. Consequently the present film strategies and polices that delight limited markets will not be compete in global markets, Korean films or contents is merely called by that name.

It is necessary to develop new competitive products under the world economic downturn. The medical tourism industry a good example and it has grown rapidly for last couple of years. This paper aims to investigate socio-demographic proxies of inbound medical tourists in Korea. In particular, the medical tourist behaviors are modeled by considering the factors such as acquisition process of medical tourism information, service level of medical tourism industry and the choice attributes. The results of this study are summarized that: 1) Most inbound medical tourists are over 40-years old with professional occupation accompanied with families; 2) The information resources are mainly acquired from travel agents and WOM(Word of Mouth) such as friends and relatives; 3) Current problems are lack of various promotion channels and the competitiveness of medical costs; 4) The inbound medical tourists are not homogeneous but vary in different segments. The study suggests that various marketing strategies should be implemented for target market segments to promote Korea as a medical tourism hub.

It should be unthinkable to not provide water at survival of any living things. Water is too a basic element for development for a country. Currently, the global market of mineral water is growing rapidly. This study, I conceptualized mineral water as bottled water. In particularly, bottled water has seen huge global growth for the last few years. The annual growth rate of the market in the period 2005-2009 was 5.9%. Following a surge in obesity and subsequent health and wellness trends, many consumers are switching from sugary soft drinks to healthier alternatives. Therefore, the global bottled water market is one area which has big potential for growth, but price competition is getting intensified among multi-national and domestic firms. Korean providers too are faced with strong competition in growing domestic market. The bottled water market has presence of multinational provider like Nestle, Danone and Coca-Cola, which collectively account for 35.1% of the world market share in 2009. On the basis of a market orientation approach, this article looks at changing environments in the world mineral water industry and attempts to describe foreign market entry strategy of the Korean mineral water industry. The market orientation provides strong norms for learning from customers and competitors, is instrumental in creating a superior value for buyers, innovating successfully, and generating excellent firm performance. So firms should consider a strategic planning in basis on market orientation before they enter foreign markets. Some discussions were made about managerial implications for Korean bottled water providers.

The purpose of this article is to examine the Delays of Performance under UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. In theory, there exist three clearly distinguishable categories of breach of contract, namely non-performance, non-conforming performance and late performance. In particular, delays of performance are the most common breach of sales contract including late delivery, late payment or late performance of any other obligation. In this regard, this article examines how parties can, through careful drafting, avoid or minimize legal problems in case of delay in performance. Especially, the export perspective focuses on the seller`s interests, which require that sanctions be as lenient as possible if the seller has breached the contract but that there are prompt and adequate sanctions if the buyer has breached the contract. Furthermore, the seller should ensure that a short or medium delay in delivery will not entitle the buyer to declare the contract immediately avoided and take precautions against late payment, including delayed opening of a letter of credit.

This legal study is to compare the Electronic Transactions Act in Thailand(hereinafter `ETA`) with mainly other countries electronic transactions acts such as UNCITRAL MLEC, UECIC, UETA, UCITA and Korea` Electronic Transactions Act. The EA is consisted of 6 chapters which included preamble and definitions. Each chapter`s main point as follows. Preamble is related to the name, time of legal effect scope and definitions. Chapter 1 is nut oily general principles of electronic transactions, required restriction in addition to specify the limit of application, documentation, evidential weight in reference to the data message, but also d conditions of offer and acceptance through data message, time and place of dispatch and receipt of data message, certification between originator and addressee. According to media-neutrality and the effectiveness security requirement of data message raider the information system, legal certification is related to the exchange`s declaration of intention, define about originator-addressee of data mage. Chapter 2 is composed to provide expressly about the effectiveness security in electronic signature. These contents arc to compare the MLEC, UECIC and Electronic Transactions Act in Korea Chapter 3 is related to legal definitions that present legal requirement about service relating electronic transaction which contents accept domestic law, the adequate requirement as eligibility, satisfied matter, self-reliance ratio of finance and other detail standard Chapter 4 is deal with the transaction which are public sector and these application requirements. And also this chapter are composed regulations about direct-indirect purpose of Thailand domestic electronic government.

통상법,제도 : 중재합의시 중재지 결정에 관한 연구

The purpose of this paper is to examine the significances of choosing the place of arbitration, the principles of fixing the place, which the major international arbitration institutions(including the ICC, LCIA, AM, CIETAC and so on) have in their arbitration rules, and the methods of drafting the place of arbitration in arbitration agreements. When the contract parties have agreed on the place of the arbitration, the institutions have no role regarding the selection of the place of arbitration. But the parties have not agreed on the place of arbitration, it is fixed by the rules of selected institution, by considering the lists of criteria including local laws, N.Y. Convention, neutrality, convenience and so on. This author suggested four alternatives on how to designate the place of arbitration, and advantages and disadvantages of each one: the place of claimant, the place of respondent, the place agreed on in advance in Bilateral Agreement between two Arbitration Institutions established in two countries or the third country. In conclusion, the decision of all elements in the international contract is greatly influenced by the power of negotiation, and the place of arbitration in arbitration agreement has a lot of influential significances on both parties when resolving the disputes. So it is advisable for the parties to fix the place according to the global standard(the place of respondent), the arbitration rules of major international arbitration institutes and the result of the negotiation between parties.
